it isnt abnormal.
when children are born to young parents it can happen. also in some cultures children are married off at 8yrs old. by the time puberty hits that child could be walking round with belly and voila grandparent in no time

it happens. whether it should or not is debatable based upon societal codes and rules

I know one. My bredren. The state and the grandparents are paying for the child. Who else is going to pay at that age. The baby's grandmother is a waste of space.

For the record its the return of a cycle. He and his former partner also had his child at a similar age.

for me having a child young is not an option for me, never will be

however i do know many people who are early 40s with grandchildren

it happens , the difference between now and the olden days is that something that was once hidden is now in the open more. its not the norm.

age of consent is 16 so theoretically if the chain is continouse and someone has a child at 16 their child can grow up and repeat the process. are correct under law of the land.

BUT it is not something i would encourage my kids to do. they can just take after me and wait till mid 20s

Ladyday - yeah if it's a question of afford ability then I think it must be a wonderful thing to actually see your grand, great grand or even great great grand parent but I suspect that has more to do in contrast to the lives we live now...i.e. that wonderful thing only looks that way because it does not exist.

In extended families where generations raise generations I think it's ok. Guess I'm saying it's the infrastructure you live under which may dictate it one way or the other so in our case it can't really be the right thing if we are honest.
