Back in my day Silver Cross and Mama's & Papas were top of the range. Maclaren back in those days produced for the cheap end of the market. They produced the uglyest pushchairs and still do from what I've seen.

There seems to be lots of choice these days and lot's of designs but I wonder if some have forsaken the comfort of the child for the sake of overall look and fashion.

And it seems you need six hands these days to collapse a buggy...obviously designed by men.

If we do not have an accurate analysis of the problem, we cannot possibly develop a good strategy to resolve it.

I bought an M&P all-in-one (with car seat etc), which was supposed to last until Baby was 3. However, I found it heavy and cumbersome and bought a Maclaren. I don't find it difficult to navigate at all, but it's so light you have to careful if you put things on the handle.....its liable to tip over.

I took it when we went to the US. I wondered why people kept looking at it. Seems Maclaren are very expensive over there. Mine cost £35 in the Next sale!!!

I like the look of the Maxi-Cosi pram, but may be a little quirky for some.

LD,

What? You fling out your first pram already????

@vezz i havent thrown out my 1st pram
but its a very big mothercare urban detour xtreme 3 wheeler travel system, all the weight is in the back and it didnt make good for my London travels. it nearly came down the escalator on the underground but was wedged between the sides lol. its just not practical until i am driving.

i am selling it. noticed on ebay people are buying them so hopefully i will get a decent price

@all i am liking the m&p's luna Luna - Azure - Mamas & Papas and the silvercross 3D Silver Cross 3D Complete Pram System - Coast : mothercare

i think i might go for something that has a carrycot so thatdoubles up as a moses basket .

LD,

Personally, I wouldn't buy a carrycot/Moses basket. The baby is in it for 3 months, so it isn't cost effective imo.

Sorry, I don't like the Silver Cross one. It doesn't look "Silver Cross" to me - traditional (or maybe I'm old fashioned), and for that price I'd buy the M&P one.

been told thehandle thing is a non issue as you get these clips to hang shopping off.

has anyone had any experience of the bugaboo range? if so what do you think of the chameleon or even the soon to be available bugaboo bee, both can be seen at the bugaboo website
