More cultural ways to help our children learn at home

Very pleased to have come across this. Check it out and see if it can help your children too!

Default Aya Educational Institute - 19-11-07, 05:45 PM

Htp

Thanks for posting link Ma'at. Another very good resource is an online afrikan centered school based in US called the Aya Educational Institute. It has 'live' teachers/instructors, and extremely interactive as parents can attend classes along with their children if they so wish. The curriculum is awesome and homework needs to be submitted. Presently they are working on a project called Peer Power Research project (specially acknowledging Nana Boffour (Asa Hilliard) and this will be published in 2008. They also are building their own TV station!! they are taught financial literacy and economics, science and so much more , ... and yeah I am bigging them up big time, I had the honour of sitting in a couple classes and was very impressed with the standard - was an absolute joy to hear a 10 year old quoting Carter Woodson gave him a cyber hug.

The NIEC has negotiated an initial 25% discount with Aya Institute. Please follow link and scroll down.

Resources

This school is an international school accessible from your home. Their vision is for afrikan children from across the diaspora to learn and share and ultimately grow with Africa at our centre. I too share this vision

Peace
