Default Does a family need a father? - 21-05-08, 05:41 PM

Does every child need a father?
Taken from the daily telegraph

A child will legally be able to have two mothers and no fathers after MPs voted to remove the need for fathers when parents undergo fertility treatment.

Is one mother and one father the ideal family model?

In a controversial move, The Human Fertilisation and Embryology Bill will allow both women in a lesbian relationship to have the status of legal parents when one of them gives birth.

Family campaigners have attacked the move which will change how families have been historically defined.

Is the traditional family structure the ideal? Are two mothers as capable of parenting as a mother and father?

Does the absence of a father have a negative impact on children? Or does the love and care they receive outweigh any other factors?

Does every child need a father?

Read: yesterday that Government passed this IVF bill and contained within this new legislations is the premise that a child does not need to be raised by a man [in effect] Now whilst i fully recognise that two women...should be allowed if they wish to have and raise a child... I have serious reservations about this potential landmark decision.. I think this has far reaching consequences for everyone...

if a child doesnt need a father than child support may be requested to be re assessed
why do you need money from someone who is not needed

Society been moving this way for a long time. This is only the icing on the cake.

If I had a pound for everytime these stupid socioal worker type women black and white come out with the old " a child needs love it doesnt need a father bollocks.." then Id wager it all on Chelsea tonight.

So on one hand they are worried about the rate of teenage violense across the country.. and on the other hand they are saying that a balanced upbringing is not a priority.

These people are not fools. They have their people doing their studies for them to tell them what everybody else knows anyway. This is social engineering and an assault on families everywhere.

And no. Two women should never be able to even entertain the 'right' to a child if they choose to be lesbians.

Actually this is a good supplimentary question....should women who are lesbians have the automatic right to raise children?

I agree society sends the message fathers are not required to raise the children only provide financial support. The sad thing is the children are the ones who lose out. No role models for boys, in becoming men and no good examples for girls to learn how to choose their life partners.

Science and nature both agree that it takes a human sperm and human egg to create human being. women produce eggs and have the organs to sustain life till birth, men have sperm that kick starts life into the egg. its a co-dependency. if all women or men died out humans would cease to exist

lesbians just want their cake and eat it (ROTFL LMAO) Excuse the pun. also i feel the MP's are shooting themselves in the foot, because I do wonder how long before single mothers realise the government cannot scapegoat them afterall fathers not required by law

also what about the child...
playground scene
child 1 - my dad is fantastic. he takes me to the park and plays nintendo wii
child 2 - yeah my dad is ok. i only see him on the weekends
child 3 - does evryone have a dad i have a mummy and a mum
<<<group laughter>>>
child 4 - dont be silly everyone has a mum and dad
.........
child 3 at home
muuuuuuuuuum
muuuuuuuuummmmmmmmy
why dont i have a dad like all the other kids at school
mum - um um
mummy well you see um

The one who gave birth to the child should but the other should never be given parental status. It's completely wrong to let homosexual couples adopt. It may be "looking after their needs" but what about the needs of the child?

I find myself becoming more and more convinced that there really is a conspiracy to break up the family unit.

Damn right! Anyone who is ever put in that position should try their hardest to have this tested in court.

Evidence would suggest a father is only needed when the children go bad. If babymothers are anything to go by then again the answer is no, but they need his money.......and likewise there are many absent fathers who by their actions alone again suggest the answer is no. I can only pressume the money made on IVF treatment is so great they will do anything not to deter potential patients.

As Robert Winston said "One of the major problems facing us in healthcare is that IVF has become a massive commercial industry" - with money, who needs fathers!! All the fatherless examples simply show that nobody is really thinking about the children...indeed children are being scapegoated......no different to child soldiers in the third world.

Long gone are the days where the Father was respected. The Media and Social Services have practically airbrushed Him out of the family.

It's true that the only use British Society has for recognizing them is for Financial Reasons.

The move in this country is to change it from a traditional Patriarchal model to a Matriarchal one. If it means letting Lesbians Marry and have Kids, without any involvement for a Man that's fine.

I am sick of these Orwellian statements such as:

" It has to be in the best interests of the Child"

Yes a family does need a father, no doubt but it does not follow that "a women can only raise a man to be a Mama's Boy........And effeminate", that's unfairly anti-women and a just sweeping generalisation.

Even though I'm a red blooded male and yes i love lesbian action. However i must draw the line when it comes to children, as the natural coarse mother nature has bestow upon us is their for a good reason. Either you or I should question Mother Nature wisdom in such matters, or we will be like the kid who opened Pandora's Box.
