Default Finding Your self esteem.. - 30-06-09, 09:15 PM

To wish you were someone else is ones biggest self hate, You deserve your love and affection, why compare yourself with others? don't you know the inner beauty is beyond the physical appearance? I have met the nicest people not because of their outer appearance but because they have shared the values which i myself also hold to be true. To establish true self-esteem we must focus on our achievements and forget about the mistakes and the negatives in our lives. If you despise yourself than you still esteem the despiser within yourself, perhaps you think you aren't good enough? maybe you think you should have more than what you already have? never be unhappy because you do not possess the things you crave for, always be thankful for what you have.

A light skinned brother once asked me "why are you so dark"? my answer to him was "Don't you know black is beautifal" after such a beautifal saying he never asked me that question again. Why is it that sometimes we find it easier to be someone else rather than ourselves? One might say that "The golden opportunity you are seeking is in yourself. It is not in your environment, it is not in luck or chance, or the help of others; it is in yourself alone. A Great man once said "that Psychological freedom, a firm sense of self-esteem, is the most powerful weapon against the long night of physical slavery.”

People are always blaming their circumstances for what they are. Never once do they ponder perhaps it's themselves that put themselves in such? why must you blame others for your problems? instead get up and say to yourself that you can be anything you want to be. People like obama, mlk or mandela had to have had trust in themselves to leave such mark on history. "I've learned to trust myself, to listen to truth, to not be afraid of it and to not try and hide it."-SM

May peace and prosperity be with you remember "You are beautifal no matter what people say" look at the positives and not the negatives.
