OH MY GAWWWD!!! YOU PEOPLE ARE SOMETHING ELSE. LMAO. I JUST LOVED THE WAY YOU GUYS TRIED TO MAKE IT LOOK AS IF I'M ON SOME EGO SHIT. Cypress....let's get something straight...you attempted to post the same topic more than once andwe don't allow that. If you needed assistance in posting your poem all you had to do was ask. Simple. What motive could we possibly have in trying to make you look a certain way?...that doesn't make sense.This thread is still here so that you could attempt to post your poem here in the appropriate section Poetry and the Spoken Word...I hope things are clearer for you now and we trifiling, immature people wish you the best too.niceone.gif

Well I tried to post my poem plenty of times and it kept getting cut off. I had written words of encouragement for the other posters and I find it weird that the only post that you seemed to keep was the one where I lost my cool. But anyway I'll post my poem.

The Greatest of Them All

she seduces souls as words flow

through fecundated wombs

breeding light while thoughts burn deep

leaving scars as you lay branded for life

mesmerized by violet nights swathed in rhapsodical rhymes

her dome is a mountain buttressed by the windows to

her soul which holds the kiss of life

while lips as wide as Nigerian rivers flow

deep within the sweetest taboos

dark and seductive

the way a woman should

not like these r&b divas

who make you feel good for the moment

no this cool breeze transcends time

Afrika flowing through her veins

soul so deep it's easy to get lost

i guess that's why she's the king of sorrow

giving voice to s-m-o-o-o-t-h operators and Somalian women

scraping for pearls

but what about the plight of the mulatto child

born to this world Helen Folasade Adu

possessingheaven unknown to those not in tune

cuz only a select few can truly understand

as she silhouettes softly into the night

while the Yoruban drum chants

love is stronger than p-r-i-i-i-d-e

love is stronger than p-r-i-i-d-e

love is stronger than pride

over and over

while minds lay hypnotized

as lovers rock

a diva like no other she will always be
