I just want to say that I REALLY enjoyed your poem. I've been hearing a lot about erotic poetry but this is actually my first time actually reading an erotic poem. What I really like about your poem is that it's so out of the box. In addition to writing a novel I am also writing a book of poetry. My goal is to break away from all the cliches that is associated with black poetry. Even though I enjoyed reading most of the poems that have been posted I do have to say though that we as writers/poets must try to break away from the typical "Sistahgurl, keep your head up," "My black queen/king," "We need a revolution" and the "oooh baby baby why did you leave me your the only one for me"type of poems. It's fine once in a while but after a while it become kind of redundant. Keep up the good work and always strive to be creative.

I thank you for the "praise" that you gave my poem. Artistic expression is a way that I release things that redound in my mind. I think that it is excellent that you are trying to write a novel. I myself, I am trying to write a play and a screen play. The "inspiration" of my play came from a relationship that I just ended with my ex. After seeing how shallow she was(not trying to debase her; but I believe in calling a tree by it fruits); and observing the actions of so many beautiful sista's (ha) today, I was shocked, it is rediculous. I decided to make my emotions manifest through poetry, and I must say that it got a lot off my chest. Thank you again. God bless you sista.
