Introduction:

Firstly good people.. nuff life loss true the storms/ dont think I take that lightly..due to the tightness of my lyrics a friend asked me to write a commentry.. here it is:

African Poetry:

You see di storm deh.. you tink it easy..
A true di time get cold and breeeeezy..

Tell me where poor people could a run too..

And bad man dem a walk wid dem gun toooooconfused3

Ivan a terrible 2004 storm..
Down a Grenada/ Grievious Bodily Harm...
Pon di TV/ newscaster cast di alarm..
Badder than Gilbert an '51 storm...

ENYWAY!!

Mi father de a bush an him a plant some corn...
Mi mek a two blow pon di African horn...
Di weather start shift.. though di time did warm,
pon Tuesday a pure Electrical Storm..(Thats true)

YOU MAD..

Mi reach fi di whatnot/ pull out de African charm..
Get some strong rope..."Daddy pull down di auwn"
One glass a wine fi di li-bation
So that di district it no come into harm..

Storm eve..
Tree fe get chop..
Mind di cocunut..
Zinc fi get check/ all pon di house top
Board up the window deh round a back
Fill the water tank..change the ball cock

You should a see di crowd weh down a Miss Matty shop

FLOUR & BATTERY DEM A SELL ROUND DE CLOCK..

Anyway..

You see di storm deh.. you tink it easy
A true di time get cold and breeezy..

When the wind start where you could a run to?????
Nuff dead a Haiti/ MASTER wed di world a come to...!!!

Peace and love good people.

I like this one too. A poem about real things and something we are all thinking about right now. The suffering of black peoples is on all our minds and your piece made the people real instead of numbers and pictures... The hoplessness in itwas deep

Seems like being angry at the storm and what it did is giving people spirit to put it back together again.

Good work.
