Hey yall...thought I'd see if I could bring a little fun and creativity to the site.

Rules....8 lines......(no I'm not a rapper).....that's it. Have a little fun with it. Hip Hop ORIGINALLY was about self respect and self expression...just being proud to be black. I was talking to a friend of mine who said "Hip Hop is dead"...I think I'll prove him wrong.

===============================================

Turned from helmets and combat boots, to ties and business suits
from empty pockets, no lights and sippin on 25 cent noodles/
From gun shots and gang bangs, hood cops watchin'
to houses, two car garages, fire places big screens and Xboxes./
from court cases, and what can I steal from ya,
to leather brief cases, Grand Cherokees, to black land owner/
from a wild son to an even wilder father,
I'd bleed for my own seed now, or a smile from my mother./

And I wonder if she's lookin at me now
Here baby boy grown into a grown man in his own right, wow/
Why do we...do what we do, chose what we choose
cruise were we cruise, bruise what we bruise/
move what we move, loose what we loose,
first place you see a brother, on the 11 o'clock news/
Why is it...Spot lighted, and highlighed, death for the world to see,
Why the killer and the victim has the same face as me/.

Why is the man stealing from me a black face like mine,
Why are my brothers killing each other for nickels and dimes/
Walk the streets eyes open half blind, like sick men with wine
And our leaders feed us, over feed us same tired azz lines/
Nothing do we own respectfully, Away from our own collectively
Up for my own expectionally leader of men to boys, protectively,/
If I'm a killer for my country let me die with black pride
But lets hope that my killin' helps me to say black alive./

Our brothers are stealing, while some are squealing all like swines

Trapped in a sty, bleating gettin weakened with crime

Gettin fattened up with bling, and thinking its all fine

Fighting each other while the famer waits for dinner time

You blame the porkerbeside youon his way to the table

He just like you, stuck and trapped andunable

We Piggys will revolt likeOrwell's Snowballand the other

But there always a Napoleon waiting to exploit his brother

hmm

Pride in essence is what I feel

Pride is lost, substituted with sex appeal

Stealing, drug dealin, chillin

Out life’s become useless like Tanzanian shilling

It’s all facts of life

Like drugs, hustlers, and marriage as in man and wife

Our life’s, dreams, aspirations been abducted

We stand here idle unreconstructed

Let’s stand shoulder to shoulder

Throw away the garbage, poison, the cigarette holder

Letsfix up, breathe easy

lungs aint never been wheezy

In veins an arteries my blood flow freely

No cane, nocrack, no drug can impede me

No paranoia ormood swings, eyes see clearly

Im toxin free and pleased to just be me

Inmy world of sin Im a one off rarity

Doing my best to help spread sobriety
