There used to be a great weekly poetry slam in this place in Brix whos name I forget,but I know that there must be many of you on this forum that frequent other slams in an around London,I live North-East but will travel to most places inside London to get to one....oh just remembered the one in Brix was at the Bug Bar.

So sistahs and bredrens,can you recommend the good spots,open mike etc?? ?

Im sorry if this has been discussed in other threads but my time is limited and I cant trawl through all of them as much as I would like too.

There's a good poetry session by Soul Food Productions, been going strong for about 3 years now. @ Bloomsbury Sq, UCL premises. every last sunday of the month. check out their web. www.afropickproductions.com

Also check out, The Oh Bar in Camden, every first Sat. of the Month. can't remember the times. but if you contact them, you should get more info.

Apples and Snakes in Battersea. I've been twice, it was absolutely wicked. Contact the Battersea arts centre for more info.

New Nation usually has a good segment on the Spoken word on venues in and around London. Might be useful getting Monday's edition.
