And further more i,ll think you will see this poem is told from the point of view of the MEN who covet this type of woman, its not so much about the bi-racial,tri-racial woman.
So if the poem rankles in any way that might be something the reader has to examine within themselves.

@dimonke, you have your opinion and I have mine
You only have to read Abisinia post that I quoted to know I'm not the only person who thinks that. Infact lets loofk at the poem
I dont care how butterz you might actually be
Just so long as you have almost no melanin to be seen
You will always be my Queen.
Acommon form of bashing that I have heard for at least 10 years and I'm 22. You see overweight butters light skinned girls and when they got man, they only with them because they light according to most dark skinned black women. But what about the black overweight butters chicks that get man, why is that? Because the mans like big women. Maybe. Butvthese woman seem to get off much more lighlty then there light counterparts.
Maybe its not your experience but its clearly mine and BP's
You ever heard of the Golden Rule. He who has the gold makes the rules!

Fair enough dear....And yes, its your experience not mine....and since you mentioned Abs, thats what i also said to her in that thread......i was shocked by what she said that MOST dark skined women blah...blahh....that was just taking itwayyy too far....yes, there are haters in our community, but unlike you guys, i see it in EQUAL proportion......BOTH lightskined and darkskined black women are just as guilty as each other......the fact of the matter is, i don't like to get into this much because i resent the double standard of emotive play thats always put on by some lightskined or darkskined women.

So unless we are gone look at it from both perspective, i don't see any solution here.....so lets just move on....like i said before, i saw this as one lighthearted thread to laugh at.....even though as a black man, i don't know how u can say that there was no ink of truth in what Jett said....Cmon....you know that some brothers are just gone......way gone....you see it....but hey....its preference non?

Your missing the point big time BP.

And no I couldnthave written it from a positive perspective because I dont share the same love for light skinned woman, which Jason X professes for dark-skinned woman.

This is where you come in, you are the flip side of Jason X so YOU should have written it.

@Mokie you thought i went to far in my description? lol infact i didn't even come close enough to the reality. You can not put hand on heart andtell me what i said wasin any way unfounded.I mean look at the title of jasonx'spoem... come on now if the poem had been written for light skin women hell surely would have broken up on this place and thread would have been deleted or locked by now.
I really don't like to get involved in this type of crap, its unproductive andtedious but hey truth is truth and me trying to pussy foot around the issue isn't gonna make it go away.
Anywaysi might be contradicting myself here but i found jett's poem hilarious clp).

Jett black and Dimoke, it's really not that deep...the thread was started by someone who wanted to express his like/love and preference for dark skinned women..............why and howit turned around to focus on guys who prefer light skinned women I do not know........people complain that black men overlook dark skinned women, but as soon as someone does it becomes as if by magic, it becomes about a black mans preference for light skin ........it didn't even have to go that route ...................
Jett black, a black woman talking from a "black mans perspective" is like a white man talking from a "black womans perspective" it is quite impossible to do that first hand.............................it's more likely to be your perception rather than their perspective.
Anyway, the poster is fullyentitled to his preferences just like anyone else is.

Black woman talking from a Black mans perspective is a whole different kettle of fishto a White man speaking from a Black womans perspective.

A-the Black woman would have access and be ingrained with Black culture so would be able to speak with SOME authority and some authenticity.

So this is a sloppy comparison really Chi.

And of course Jason X is entitled to wax lyrical about the wonders of the dark-skinned woman.

Nothing wrong with the ARTMonsieur X, the bigging up part shouldnt be, it should just be taken as READ that dark-skinned woman are as beautiful as their lighter counterparts.

And I think once we as a race can approach the beauty standard from that standpoint alone,ONE QUARTER of the threads on Blacknet will become redundant.
