i know i will die one day

i know they might bury body

and a grave without name,

for the love of my people,

i am willing to die,

i have come this far,

and

i am not looking back,

for the love of my people,

i will lay my life on the line,

i dont know if i one day,

i will see us reach our freedom

so much for million man marchs

the talks broke out,

what are we willing to do

for the price of freedom?

for the love of my people

iam tired of smooth talkers

like al sharptons,'

jesse jacksons

man ina good suit

like minister farakhan

who speak

when actions is louder than words

for the love of my people,

i dont know if i will reach the promised land,

for the love of my people, i will fight

knowing, they might kill me without trace

and hide the evidence,

i will look up to the sky

and say

raise our swords up high

either we live or die!

we can talk about reparations

no reparations without repratiation

revolution now! or revolution later

for the love of my people

i am willing to sacrifice

so many times i put my life on the line.

i know when i cross to the other

side,

in the spirit realms

my honourable ancestors will bless me,

they know,i dreamt of all of us being free

just for the love of my people.

i would pick armed struggle,

because,if they drive an axe

to somebodys brain and treat us

like animals,

then... we have to analyze where do we stand

and where do we go from here?

for the love of my people,i ask you!

please! refuse to live in fear!

I really liked this alot. Often times we don't have any real motivation for the way that we feel or the things that we do. In this poem you spoke of your motivation with an intensity that I truly enjoyed. "For the love of my people". For so many, that love has fallen by the wayside. We don't even identify with one another like our people used to do. This was a really tight piece and I'm glad you shared it.
