In the sense that she hasnt really developed her own opinion, rather had it inputed from her father.

Autum defended her poem by explaining to the WestchesterJournal News that white people are "devils and they should be gone. We should be away from them and still be in Africa."

Highly unlikely that she would have formed her OWN opinion on this matter.

Although i have no objection to her poetry and its historical content, i do question the other BRAINWASHING (above) she has recieved from her father, who is clearly ahater.

Cant see much milegae in stating to your children that "all white people are devils and they should be gone". Not much at'll.

Stating that 'white people are devils' is an inappropiate way of behaving imo. The fact her father hasnt pulled her up on this statement saids it all to me. One can be proud of their history and recite it as much as they want, without having to break their own moral standards of humility and diplomacy.

Thats it really.

Im assuming the fathers a hater, and could be wrong however its no secret some NOI memebers openly call white people 'blonde haired devils' which in my book makes you a hater before you even begin to entertain the debate about the accuracy of the statement. Personally I dont subscribe to this 'way of life' and believe we should be teaching our children how to use certain emotions more effectively than this example. Thats not to take away from her poetry which i dont have the slightest problem with.

However, I do have a problem with her comments about White people needing to be gone and calling them devils. This is inappropriate behavior. Believe it or not, you can be extremely pro-Black without being racist.

As to the father referring to school officials as "crackers", doesn't that say it all about how he feels about Whites? Why is this behavior any less offensive than those two White supremacists "twin recessive pigs"?

And by the way, this father and child can be as racist as they want to be. There are no laws prohibiting racism. What I find sad is that this father is teaching his racism to his child. Teach her to be proud of herself, but not to hate others who are White. Just like I would condemn White racists, I have to condemn those of my race also who engage in similar behavior. Both are wrong.
