yaya - hmmm....I was involved in a strange argument where this African militant (so called) refused to see marriage and wedlock as an African social virtue. Eventually he went as far as winning the confidence and favouritism of people who didn't even consider themselves African let alone militant in his attempt to seek safety in numbers.
I think his idea was that everyone who had children outside of wedlock (or all the transgressors) would turn against me

You would have thought being the militant, he would have made it his duty to promote marriage and wedlock to others...a kind of social misrepresentation in its own right:?
Social misrepresentation seems to be the safest group to be a member of.
