The dream brusher
The self esteem crusher
Later to the Hater.

They screw
Coz you grew
Face bend,
yet they're a friend.
With their dark thoughts inside,
turn around and be a traitor

A Benedict,
maybe a Bush,
wondering if they gently push
you in the wrong direction
to try to delay the ascension.

Always frontin big smile,
yet inside
dem fulla bile.
So they they try to crush your pride
So you and them stay on the same line.

Insecure with themselves,
that is why the hatred dwells.
They're their own prison guards,
yet always complaining life is hard.

Come across like they're full of loyalty
When things flop for you
there's the element of glee.
Appearing concerned, giving advice
but your ultimate happiness
they want to have in their vice.

Watch these types around you,
their plans can you afford?
Because all the negativity they omit
you may subliminally absorb.

So just do you,
work hard, it will pay off later.
Dont mind that dream brusher

I love this, its so real...it represents haters to a "T"

Today is my first and I have visited the "Spoken Word" forum. Read a poem titled "Later to the Haters". Really nice, great flow. I think that I will enjoy being here.
