hi all

me and my friend are putting together a magazine. funding was granted via skillset so its a legit project. first issue is due out in may. dont worry so much about the 1st issue date. anyone who can write or have any other talnet and ae interested in taking part please let me know. i will be able to pm you the email address for all business contacts. bear in mind i am not the editor though i do have a huge influence we are keen to hear from talented people

oh yeah beofre i forget the mag is aimed at students and career minded people, we will initially focus on african/caribbean people as that is our target group.

also if you have any suggestions as to what would be of interest to yourself in the magazine please let me know we aim to do a good job.

if you have been to uni or arenow in a career and feel you could tell your story in a how i made it to the top or how i got my foot in the ladder please advise we may approach you for a feature story.

@ ladyday - you should PM Ayousha. she is a wonderful writer and she posts mainly on the poetry thread but I dont think she is always around so she may not see your request.

(hopefully, she wont get mad at me for putting her name forward!!)

btw - are the writers going to be paid for their contributions?

@happiness.....i have enquired about pay and have been told that as its a new publication funds are not in place to pay for contributions. the only funding currently is to produce the mag. once funds have been generated. all those who contribute will have their own hard copy of the mag........

update on the magazine. it is now called PUSHmagazine. we now have connections within the push ent group. there is a new email contact address. the old one can still be used but is now being phased out. if your stillinterested let me know. i will endeavor to pm all the new email address for all business contacts.

I don't know about anyone else, but I learnt this news by email BEFORE your announcement. The email said there was an event held on Thursday gone, but I was not aware of it.

It appears, the writing staff were established at this event, so what was the point of asking anyoneif they want to be involved? confused3

Has PUSH got a website yet? If not are they planning one?

i hope by now you would havebeen sent an email by the editor with the update. the collaboration with push has ended due to creative differences and conflict of interests. please let me know if you have not recieved any updates. plus also let me know if you do not have the prospects email address as this will now again be the main email. i will endeavour to keep you as updated as possible but be assured the magazine will come out
