A scheme to boost London's ethnic hair and beauty industry is being launched.

The London Development Agency (LDA) initiative aims to encourage salon owners and beauty firms to work together to promote their businesses.

A second project will help all female entrepreneurs turn their ideas into successful business ventures.

This comes after research by the LDA showed 3% of businesses in the city were owned by black people and women owned a fifth of London businesses.
