Have you set up your own site yet? If so, you can use Paypal (which is on ebay anyway) or something like Streamline which will allow you to accept payment by debit/credit card. Your host should have this.

I use Fasthosts. It cost £2.99 (I think, but not much more) to register the domain name, and then £3.99 + VAT per month. I set up 2 sites and they each cost me less than £20 (you pay 3 months hosting in advance).
With regard to stock, the affiliates idea someone had is good. What I would do, though, if I were you, would be to check the VAT position. All you supplies would be vatable, so it may be worth your while being VAT registered to enable you to reclaim it. It won't cost you anything, you won't be liable to CT as a sole trader, and you could charge a little more. The only thing is, you'd need to prepare accounts & the VAT return, both ofwhich is so easy to do.

The only thing I don't like about affliate programs is that you sell other people's products and get asmall 5-15%percentage. You would have to sell like thousands of dollars worth of stuff just to make 1,000. I learned from personal experience with these types of sites that its better tosell your own products or servicesand have the affiliate stuff as side money. Creating your own product is hard though, thats where I'm stuck at.
To believe is to have doubt and no facts but to know is to have facts and no doubt.

I'd go to a market and look at some labels on handbags, then do my research on the internet. That way you can find out through them who they supply.....
