Hiya,
As summer approaches I'm sure many of us are thinking about where to jet off on our hols. I'm not a seasoned traveller myself, but I have decided that I must take the initiative to stretch further a field than Africa, the Caribbean and America. For many black people visiting these destinations is commonplace, mainly because we feel we’ll experience less hostility. Even though I know we should rise above racism, I can't help feeling somewhat apprehensive about choosing certain parts of Europe to visit especially when I read about other people's bad experiences. So please convince me otherwise.
Which are your favourite places to holiday not in Africa or the Caribbean? What countries/islands have you had a positive experience in, were made to feel welcome and would recommend? What were the best places to sight-see, had top beaches, top hotels etc? Why not list your top ten?
Regards,
Monique
