Here;

http://www.watercone.com/index.html

There are water distillation factories worldwide but yet none where they are needed. Not sure if this product is real but I came across it whilst looking for a site about water distillation plants to talk about their use in Africa and the rest of the water/agriculture needy world.

Peace

RL

I was also reading a lot about this last summer, interesting and seems to have lots of possibilities.A friend of mine was telling me about some project that he had an opportunity to see in Flanders, I think it was, where sand dunes were used in water distillation.

It looks to be a convenient technology. But there are other ways in my search outside the Internet that yield similar results.

One thing this device does not account is polluted water sources.

That is another crucial step in clean water distillation processing.

I made another topic about large water distillation plants in another room... guess you're right though,I doubt they can really purify water that well.

Are you familiar with Dean Kamen, the inventor of the Segway and other things? His company is called DEKA.

He is conducting research and designing on a water purification machine that is small enough to be portable. The machine is based on the Stirling Engine.

I don't know the current status of this project; however I saw a live TV demonstration a few years back.
