is it possible to start a business from £50

i read in essence that a woman started a baby skincare rage from $50http://www.sakile.com/honey-buns/index.htm

so just wondered what types of businesses can be started with 50 quid/dollars

also i read in glamour that ist worth investing 50 quid into shares but make a good choice about that. i last read on here you need at least 1k for investments. what do you think
