Whats up people.
I want to make an animated series of cartoons but am not sure where to start, have got the stories and what not but need to get it all down or something... I can't draw for the most part either which isn't helpful but I can learn.
Does anyone know how I can get into making animations and stuff?

I wanted to know if the Dagara elders could tell the diffrence between fiction and reality. The elders did not understand what a starship is, they did not understand what the fussy uniforms had to do with anything but they recognized in Spock a Kontomble of the seventh planet... they had never seen a Kontomble that big.

sometimes not being able to draw can give you and your characters their own distinct style. Libraries have books on how to draw cartoons so check that out (I think in the hobbies and interests section). As for getting into it, think you're gonna have to "kiss a lot of frog" and just e mail/write to a bunch of animators asking how they got into it. Contacting editors/publishers of comics might be a good start. Try "googling".
YOU ARE NOT DEFINED BY OTHER PEOPLES\' OPINION OF YOU!! ;0)

.lol.
I'm not that bad, too humble for my own good sometimes can draw a lil bit used to like drawing in biro as a kid, might take a course and learn how to draw properly but even then Animation is another level would have to study Media to really do what I wanna do.
@ Mastace, welcome back bro.
We've got like thousands of folklore, mythical and historical stories that need putting into film/anime. So many peeps are studying media but sit on it I wanna take some stories make them into kick ass anime series.

Thanks for the link, looks brilliant. Kinda like the stuff they usefor South Park.
What are you up to SG? Would be intresting to know.
The other question I have is do I have to ask permission before using a folklore story? I mean they can't be copywrited.

I wanted to create short cartoons with black characters , its just finding the time .
It`s strange in the year 2007 we still are bombarded with european characters in animation . ( this is another way our children are influenced )
Just makes me wander what the talented black ghraphics creators think about this situation .

Its all about media, not as though we're short of stories. Would be cool to make a film, was thinking about it last night but thats all a diffrent level.
