TO REACH BAME AUDIENCES
Rich Visions Ltd, the specialist ethnic communications, training and PR agency, will host a FREE ethnic communications seminar for public sector organisations charged with reaching out to, or engaging with the Black, Asian, Minority, Ethnic, (BAME) audiences; following the success of their ethnic communications workshop, recently accredited by the Open College Network (OCN).
The seminar will provide an insight into BAME communities and assist attendees to successfully engage with hard-to-reach groups in the UK. It will include; presentations, case studies, group discussions and a Q & A session with a panel of ethnic communications and marketing specialists.
The seminar will take place between 4pm and 6pm on Thursday 16th August 2007 at the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO), Regents Wharf, 8 All Saints Street, Kings Cross, London N1 9RL. There will also be a second seminar aimed specifically at private sector organisations in autumn 2007.
Mavis Amankwah of Rich Visions said: In view of recently published statistics such as - *one in every five people the average person meets is likely to be from a different ethnic background to themselves demonstrates that ethnic communications has become imperative; as generic marketing does not reach all communities and does not take into account peoples values, beliefs and attitudes - which normally stem from their cultural identities.
Amankwah continues: Public sector organisations have a duty to be representative of their consumers and so this kind of event cannot be ignored.
