how do you prevent the system from messing with you?

I am a young black man that has had many problems with the system in the past and i have come to the realisation that the only reason i had these problems was because i had a lack of information on the rights i have and who i could turn to for help. I was wondering if evveryone could post the types of problems that they have had with the system as a black person and what stragitises and advice they would give to someone who found themselves in a simlar one.
Also i wonder if people could post contact details of advice services and centres that help black people with problems such as debt, housing , law and employment issues
