Blackbeauty, why not go a church of your choice andtalk to,perhaps, a minister there?

I read the bible from start to finish, (admittedly a long time ago); I found my best books were Job and Ecclesiastes, as for me they reflect the real conflict about the relationships between God and being a human being. ALL religions however,I have subsequently found, are open to all sorts of interpretation and all of them are about faith.

In my opinion anything can be believed, for example, ifI said thatsomething was made out of tin, was a god, allI need to do,is to convince others of this and keep encouraging them to believe using whatever notionsI think willhelp that to happen, andI too would have a congregation for life!

You could veiw me as a devil trying to put you off*, (asI would had believed at one time), or you could see me as a person who is telling you the truth. AsI said though, talk it through with a minister or an equivalent in your church.

* I do beleive that religion or Goddoes help people, it just depend on how you view it.

Bismillaah {With The Name Of THE GOD} Salaam (Peace), BlackBeauty. It appears to me that you already have the answers that you seek. You want to bring your will into Harmony with The Will, of Allaah, The High Exalted. THE GOD, IS, the source of ALL Knowledge. I would recommend that you begin your serious study of THE GOD, with HIS, Holy Qur'aan. This is because it is Allaah, The All Knowing, The All Hearing, Whom Teaches, HIS, Book of Wisdom, The Holy Qur'aan, and because HE, Alone can make you a Muslim / Believer. After you have diligently studied AL-Qur'aan, then you should include the study of [All] other Scriptures. I'll try to follow up with more information at another time, insha'allaah [THE GOD Willing].Salaam. OriginalBM

@blackbeauty..........the name christianity itself does not appear in the bible at all. it is used in general terms by people to describe the whole religion christ. its a way to distinguish it from other religions of the world............christianity is simply borne out of followers of Christ Jesus. To develop and relationshio with God all you have to do is pray to Him and aske him to reveal the truth to you. The Bible is a good book to read and there are many supplements that can help aid your understanding God and the relationship you can develop. the Bible and the Koran share some books or stories. yes many people do dtry to discredit the bible however if you pray for understanding before your read you will get more from the text. ....... good luck in learning more

Bismillaah Salaam, BlackBeauty. >>

I have also heard the notion that Islam is the true/original religion of black ppl and everything else was forced on to us... <<

Verse 83, of surah 3 of The Bounteous Qur'aan, states that ALL creaturesin the heavens and earth have accepted Islam. So, it is obviously the OneTrue Way of Life, for ALL. See also, verses 84 -85.

Regarding slavery of the Black people in america and else where, the religion of christianity was forced on the slaves, to better control them. Salaam. OriginalBM

I dont believe there is such a thing as true religion for black folk. the reason there are different religions is simply due to different interpretations of religion. there is no need to concentrate on such aspects........just read with an open heart. i have few Bible's. one is a heritage version it details why colour is not mentioned in the Bible and outlines which landspeople in the Bible came from. it also has a study aid and advise on studying the Bible. you could get these seperately too.

Bismillaah Salaam, LadyDay. You wrote:

The reason for all of the different religions is thatthere are many "Paths" to THE GOD {Allaah, The High Exalted}.

Also, theSatan saw a way to keep himself in the money, by lying to all of the people, as he had promised to lead them astray;Qur'aan 7:11-18; 59:16-24.

The chapter and verses [3:83-85]that I posted toBlackBeauty above, in a previous post, are clear. Truth is clear from falsehood [Qur'aan 2:256]. The religion of THE GOD {Allaah, The Compassionate,The Merciful} is the right religion. Listen to your LORD, The Guide To The Right Path. HE, Giudes ALL, whom seek HIM. HE, If it pleases HIM,Will, accept your repentance, clear your conscience and give you a Bright New Heart, to display to all [the world], as I am a witness to that. Salaam. Bismillaah Salaam, Rammie. I would like to invite you to a study of your Fashioner, The Self-Subsisting in whom ALL, Subsist. HE, is The Generous One, The Protecting Friend, The Destroyer, The Alive, The Giver Of Life. You must meet HIM, one day at the close of your earthy existence, as HE, states in HIS, Holy Qur'aan, all must taste of death (this being the death world) as no one is exempt.

I wish that All persons on this earth would accept Islam, as it is as a home coming, after a long wearying journey. The Qur'aan, when studied profoundly, clears away the gloom of darknessinstilled bythe teachings of the Satan. It is upward growth, instead of growing downward evermore. You may want to 'search' for a masjid, in your area. Also, read at some of the sites listed elsewhere on the forum.('something for everyone' thread). Salaam. OriginalBM

@blackbeauty.......please dont let these people dissuade you from developing a relationship with God. as what many have failed to say is that before islam and christianity there was simply a way of life. that way of life was according to Gods law religion did not come into it. The ten commandments were written by God himswelf and given to moses. all else God gave the prophecies etc to holy men to write down so that all could benefit. ultimately you should aim to be a follower of God and his teachings for us. the good thing baout the Bible is that the old testament tells all about things before Christ and the prophecies of Messiah. the new testament does focus more on christ and the fulfilling of the prophecy and promise but also of what is yet to come.

the most important thing is that you talk to God with an open and willing heart and mind. His son Jesus will help too. anytime you want to read a short verse try reading from psalms or proverbs

i pray that God will bless you and guide you into a true relationship with him

[quote][quote]you are so mis informed. christianity began in the east and spread to the west. think the location of bethlehem and jesus's birth place his fathers home town etc. christinity was in africa and asia long before it reached europe. islam is eastern too. its seemsyou are confusing the many wars between the islamist and crusaders-christian.
