i have many friends who follow the islamic faiths. i spoke with a good friend who said that teh koran could never be ionterpreted because its true meaning would be lost. so that is why they study arabic etc. also it could never touch the floor etc. however i have seen many transcripts in different languages. everyone that reads the bible reads it their own language. i am sure if they want to read the original they can but if any religious book is not read in your first tongue how true is the message you read.........look forward to your replies.

karen points taken, though i am not so interested in reading the koran. though as it is a book i do not mind learning more about i may just do that. i started this post as a way of enlightenment in regards to a different faith or belief system other than the one i follow.

now with the interpretation of texts. please people explain this. surely if what you are reading are God's word surely whatever format or language it is in you will be able to have deep understandings regardless.

There needs to be balance in the world, in societies. There cannot be only mindlessness, and filth. Religious, Spiritual minded people add compassion, grace, godliness to the societal environment.
