just wanted to know if any of you had any information on the importance of Israel and the Jews in fulfilling prophecies. what i know so far is that israel is Gods chosen nation and we are meant to pray for its peace. also that Jews will soon start proclaiming Jesus Christ as the messiah. cant remeber which book of the bible reference to this is made.

please give me some references so that i can look up

Ok, Ladyday. You mentioned that you wanted to know why Israel is so important. Deuteronomy 7:6-7. Further reading; Deut 14:2. If you check 1 Corinthians 1:27-28, you'll see that God doesn't choose the strong but the weak, not the rich but the poor...and with Israel (not the greatest nation but the fewest).

As for the prophecies and fulfilments...I was typing some big list of these but then I thought I might be off mark! Are you askingabout prophecies concerning The Old Testament and The New, in terms of when Jesus said in Matthew 5:17 'Think not that I have come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy but to fulfil' or are you talking in terms of things to come like 'the mark of the beast' and 'rumours of war'...things spoken of in Revelations?

God will never leave Israel, because he made a covenant with Abraham, who he called his friend. So the bible says that Israel suffers a blindness in part, they cannot see that the messiah as come and gone and will be coming again. However the blindness will be lifted and the door which is open to Gentiles, that is those that are not Jews will be closed and God will again begin to call out Israel his people.

There are many things going on, I don't pretend to be an expert, but even the increase in violence in Palestine, Prophecy says that the Temple of Solomon will be rebuilt and so the spot to which the Palestinians and Israel are in dispute over can only worsen for Israel seeks to fulfil prophecy. Also they will again begin Sacrifices, when they find a calf or Red heifer which they need to begin sacrifices unto God.. Some of these are teachings I have heard.

Also Jews prophecy speaks of a great war, Armageddon, this is where Gog and Magog rise up to fight Israel, I believe this to be the New World Order, Europe will get up to fight with Israel and already I can almost see how they will do it. Israel must keep to prophecy and so they will war till the end, Palasinians and muslims, well prophecy tells me that they will continuously be at their brothers throat.

So with this I see the UN and Europe talking about Peace, but all we see is unrest and Israel rushing toward prophecy and in the end I believe the West will get up and go in after Israel like they did with Iraq, but that fight will be a very different fight.

@justavoice thanks for that outline. on good friday at church we had jewish vistors and they showed us how they go about passover and what each thing they do means. he also said that jews will start confessing Jesus as the messiah. plus that there are two groups Jews Gentiles and other biblically speaking. i wont get into that as my level of understanding is not on that level as yet
