Sistah Africa: As someone who is struggling with religion generally and Christianity in particular and goes to church from time to time find this an interesting read, one of the queries I've always had is that alot of the bible is in fact opinion voiced in letters, was reading bits of Corinthians earlier particularly sections on marriage, morality and relationships and alot of it seems to be no more than Pauls opinion
I agree. It makes it hard to follow whatever is written in the letters.

The Bible is a Hebrew History Book. Thats it. Its not very much different than those myopic World History textbooks that shoved down our throats in high school. It tells a particular story from a particular worldview and speaks to a particular people.
When you hold it up to scrutiny from a context outside of itself it doesn't stand up. Of all the books ever written, I would say there has been more to hold up the shaky untruths in the Bible, than any other book written in the history of mankind. The Qu'ran is not a scrutinized because there is ALOT more continuity to it and it has remained essentially unchanged relative to the Bible. That doesn't make it any better because it also borrows much from Hebrew tradition and lore.
If you really want an accurate historical depiction of the world and its history, you have to cross reference many texts and not abandon knowledge of the political motivations of ANY writer. Historical researchis anendeavor that requires a multi-disciplined approach, a dispassionate acceptance of the facts.

This seems like another pro black site that advocates skin color over spiritual standards, and the hatred for the Bible and Christ is so passionate here
ive been on one of these sites before, looks like more truth needs to be told to all my Christians stay strong the truth will be seen for what it really is, not this so called ancient truth that is inflated with fantasy and dream.....
most of these religions or kemetic religions in actually spawnd from nimrods wife semiramis, as she formed hidden societies after the passing of her god/husband/son nimrod, many people in that time said they possessed hidden truth or actually truth in which is was mostly based on fantasy and dream many cant accept the real truth for what it is so as humans these additives must come forth from them....
egypt what a good people hun, but the writings and annals they possess arent the keys to the real and true God no matter what similaries they have to christianity, God chooses to reveal Himself to whom He feels true..it depends on what that culture or remnant of people do with the knowledge given, there are many truths, but it is THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTH that is what we should also know, many have the zeal of God but not according to knowledge, (romans 10:2) and ill admit constantine changed a whole lot and thats probably why many knowledge seekers denounce christianity but, theses things will be cleared up and the mysteries that have been hid form ages and generations will be manifested to His saints (Ephesians 3:5 and colossians 1:26)
But Wait...theres more...!

This is a pure and unadulterated example ofwhat happens when you try to use theBible to make an argument that transcends it context.

I hate to break this to you, but Kemetic Religion pre-dates the Bible and anything in it by about 5000 years. Just because the Bible speaks about the "Beginning" doesn't mean that it reflects an accurate portrayal of the "Beginning". Just because a book contains words that speak of the past mean that it trumps a written text that were actually written in the past. That logic just doesn't make sense. Nimrod did not create ANYTHING Kemetic. Thats like saying that John Smith(the Morman guy) conceptualized Christianity when the tradition pre-dates the guy by more than 1000 years. Ridiculous.

@sleepnomore
You name is quite ironic. Indeed Black people need sleep no more. Especially with skewed concepts of religion.
Christianity/Islam/Judasim. The three relegions that need to be smashed to free the African/Black mind.
Good post again Nahlej.

You say the Kemtic religion pre-dates the bible. Are you saying that the Egyptian writings pre-date that of Hebrew scriptures, i.e.Torah, Mishna...

I would agree with you it does. But now think ? why doyou think that Egyptian writings are older than that of the bible, try not to hold a bias against the writing of the bible ? why ?

When you have thought that through, why do you think the characters depicted in hebrew text resemble that of those in Egyptian text ? and againi'm going to give you a clue, read upon the antiduluvian age.

I am not sure who you were responding to, but based on your views, I am going to play the devil's advocate for a minute.
You stated 'I hate to break this to you, but Kemetic Religion pre-dates the Bible and anything in it by about 5000 years. Just because the Bible speaks about the "Beginning" doesn't mean that it reflects an accurate portrayal of the "Beginning". '
My question is this where does the term 'Kemet' come from? For it is my understanding that many consider it to be the name of the biblical character 'Ham' which is spelled in some english versions as 'Cam'. Which according to some scholars was actually written or appeared as 'KMT'. Considering this, one would have to either present the history which predates the bible accounts to show that either this 'Kemet' was not the son of the biblical patriarch 'Noah'. Or admit that the bible does give some account of this person, and its problem is that it misrepresented the name. Which could easily be explained away as error in translation from one language to another.
As for the bible speaking of the beginning, I think that is a common belief based on ministers and teachers misrepresentation of the Genesis accounts. I believe that Genesis chapter 1 through 2 is speaking of a great destruction which came upon the earth. For example: Many believe that Genesis 1 is speaking of the beginning of the Earth's creation, well if that were the case why then does it say that when mankind was made he (God)commanded that they replenish the earth. The key word being 'replenish', shouldn't it read rather fill the earth? The fact, that it also states that the earth was void and without formcovered by an abundance of waters also indicates a great destruction.
Gen.1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. This is reminescent of the Story of Gilgamesh that spoke of the Chaotic Waters of the Flood which in this case was worldwide, at the very least had covered a very large mass of land.
According to the Jewish historian Josephus Flavius, he mentions the Gilgamesh Story and how many historians which existed according to experts some over 3,000 years prior to the time of Josephus I am gathering agreed in the accounts of a great flood. However, Josephus states that not all man survived through an Ark (Boat); but some were able to climb up the high mountain range of Armenia, and escaped the destruction along with Noah and those whith him.
Now I am not saying you have to believe this but I am hoping you see another alternative of the flood accounts beyond that of the Christian and Jewish interpretation, which would mean not all civilization came from Noah.
