“Of all our studies history is the most attractive and best qualified to reward our research, as it develops the springs and motives of human actions and displays the consequences of circumstances which operates most powerfully on the destinies of human beings. --Hon. Elijah Muhammad
Given this principle, which would you say is better...
To be a Student of History, or,
To be a Worshipper of History?

To ba a student of anything but especially history you have to accept that you could be wrong and most likely will be. With a topic like history its best to study sources that may not agree with you and make what you will of those. It would be like those people who only converse with those who agree with them (pointless).
Also you cant be a true historian without primary sources. Cant be an egyptologist and you havent been there. Cant talk authoritavely about African archeology and you havent visited any sites. There is a lot of information in books but far far more misinformation. Deciding what is what depends on your initial bias.
If reading a book then see how the historian came to their conclusions and if you agree with the reasoning, do you think any other conclusions could have been drawn? Oh and one source or book wont have all the answers, you need lots to build a likely picture.
I would say be a student in the truest sense of it.

How can someone be a worshipper of history?:?
First of all we must not forget that history is a story told from a perspective. That perspective is based on who is telling the story and why and what is the lessons that we as a nation need to learn, because therien lies the true purpose of history. Therefore I would say it is important to be a student,in order to study and discern the necessary truths...
