But did he have a name....god is not a name it is a title. When the bible was written it did not have the word god in it, they used Elohim.

So what did Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob call thier creator?

The bible that you read was written in Hebrew and greek first and then translated to English. Elohim is the Hebrew word for what we say is god. Anything can be a god, just look it up. Even the people who worship the devil call him god so which god are you talking about.
Quote:
The word god does not appear in the dead sea scrolls or in some of the first translations of the bible.

Actually Hebrew is still around today and I hope to one day learn a form of it.

As of now no I don't speak Hebrew, but what does that have to do with our topic. Please don't say you don't speak Hebrew so you don't need to know what it says in Hebrew or you speak english and only want to know what is says in english...

I would like to think that you do some sort of studying and that you are not just repeating what someone said to you or you heard. You should try and find out what the bible said before the translation and see what they kept and changed for their own purpose.

The bible says study to show thyself approved unto Yahweh a workman need not be ashamed rightly dividing the word of truth.
