was reading an article in pride magazine on ethiopian jews and operation moses apprantly ethiopias islamic state principle have meant many have been tretated badly beaten some killed. many resort to practicing their beliefs in secret sur to the fear. ethiopian call them falasha meaning strangers.......but they also have had culture shock those going t israel as some encounter race for the first time and some did not know of their being any white jews(even the white jews are shocked tofind black jews)

Israel to take all Ethiopian Jews








Ethiopian Jews were airlifted to Israel in 1991The Israeli Government are to speed up the moving of the remaining 18,000 Ethiopian Jews to the Middle East.
However, the emigration of the Falasha Mura community would not start next week as had earlier been reported, says Israel's foreign ministry.
Foreign Minister Silvan Shalom admitted at the end of a two-day Ethiopia visit, that the issue was a complex one.
The Falasha Mura are the last remaining Jewish community in Ethiopia and have long been persecuted for their beliefs.
The last mass emigration of Ethiopian Jews to Israel was in 1991.
There are around 80,000 Ethiopian Jews living in Israel, many of them airlifted there during times of crisis.
Ethiopian Foreign Minister Seyoum Mesfin, speaking alongside Mr Shalom, said a mass migration was not needed as Ethiopians were free to travel wherever they wished.
"The Ethiopian Government has no objection for the Ethiopian Jews to travel to Israel," he said, but added that "in today's Ethiopia, there is no need for an organised intervention as in the 1980s and 1990s".
Disagreement
Mr Shalom visited the northern Gondar region on Wednesday to meet members of the Falasha Mura, many of whom were forced to convert to Christianity.
Israel organised the airlifting of 20,000 Ethiopian Jews to Israel in 1984 and another 15,000 members of the community in 1991.
Many were resettled on the volatile West Bank and have suffered from discrimination and high unemployment.
Some Falasha Mura say the Israeli Government has prevented their relatives from joining them.
The authenticity of their Jewishness has also been challenged by religious figures.
The Israeli Government announced last year that 20,000 more Ethiopian Jews could come to Israel under the country's law of return which says that Jews anywhere in the world have the right to Israeli citizenship.
But Ethiopia blocked the move, arguing that a migration en masse was unnecessary when Ethiopians were free to leave the country.

the Ethiopian Jews were strictly observant in pre-Talmudic Jewish traditions. The women went to the mikvah, or ritual bath, just as observant Jewish women do to this day, and they continue to carry out ancient festivals, such as Seged, that have been passed down through the generations. The Kesim, or religious leaders, are as widely revered and respected as the great rabbis in each community, passing the Jewish customs through storytelling and maintaining the few Jewish books and Torahs some communities were fortunate enough to have written in the liturgical language of Ge'ez.

Do you know who these people are?


They were the Israelites that fled down into Egypt after Babylonians attacked Jerusalem and destroyed their temple around 500 B.C.


2Kings 25: 26 "And all the people, both small and great, and the captains of the armies, arose, and came to Egypt: for they were afraid of the Chaldees. "

Notice how their history is cut off in the Bible and you never hear from these people again.

They were the Lost Sheep of the House of Israel Jesus was referring to in his sermons.


They don't call themselves Jews but Beta Yisrael or House of Israel.

I knew about Jews and Moslems (Muslims now) originally being Black from East Africa and migranting in other parts of Africa before the Caucasoids came along and took the name for themselves after slaying those civiliations.

Usually story Black people are/do it first Caucasoids come, change it or claim it as their own.

its funny that the jews proclaiming today did not know of those in africa. quite dumbfounded.. still the jews didnt accept jesus so no surprises there
