Anglican Church Asks U.S., Canada to Leave
LONDON - Leaders of the global Anglican Communion declared Thursday that they want the U.S. Episcopal Church and the Anglican Church of Canada to withdraw from the communion's councils temporarily, and to explain their attitudes toward gays which have split the church.

glad to finally see those church leaders sticling to the word of God. but we must ask is this the will of God? churches cannot start ninny picking which parts of God's law are acceptable and a person in a high position such as a priest baptist etc must lead by example.

@ladyday

sometimes I wonder when will British society rid itself of the far right Christian fundamentalists who dominate its media, government, education, and culture?

There doesn't seem to be a unified African front on the matter. The Anglican Church of South Africa has been fairly moderate on the issue. It is Akinola of Nigeria who is leading the charge. He appears to be getting considerable support, both political and financial, from the disidents in the ECUSA.
