To understand Islam properly, you must experience it. You have to live it, words arent enough. For a long time i never used to do my 5 prayers, but once i started, i understood what REAL worship and faith in God is about.

As a muslim we must pray 5 times daily. it has many lessons. the main one being constant rememberence of God. it is through rememberence of God that the heart and soul is purified. it is also a constant reminder that God is watching over us.

What i would like anyone who is interested in experiencing what it means to be Muslim, is to pray 5 times a day. pray in your own way, in your own language, but you MUST pray 5 times a day. no matter if you are out, at work, where-ever you are, you MUST do it in the alloted times, the earlier the better.

The times of prayer are-

1- 4.30am - 6.30am
2- 1pm- 6pm
3- 6pm- 8pm
4- 8pm- 10pm
5- 10pm - midnight

Do this for ONE WEEK. make a commitment. i gaurentee you, you will feel what muslims feel and understand why we are so pasionate about Islam.

im not trying to teach you 'how to love God'. that is not my intention.
im trying to make you understand the mindset of a true muslim.

this experiment is only for open minded people who have a real thirst for knowledge and understanding.

furthermore, why wouldnt you want to pray to God, 5, 6, 7 plus times a day?

if you think you know it all and it wont teach you anything, dont do it.

now read the rest of the Sura and you will find that it is talking about pharoah being drowned in the red sea-

Sura 7-134-138:

And when the terror fell on them they cried: O Moses! Pray for us unto thy Lord, because He hath a covenant with thee. If thou removest the terror from us we verily will trust thee and will let the Children of Israel go with thee.

But when We did remove from them the terror for a term which they must reach, behold! they broke their covenant.

Therefore We took retribution from them; therefore We drowned them in the sea: because they denied Our revelations and were heedless of them.

And We caused the folk who were despised to inherit the eastern parts (EYGYPT) of the land and the western parts (CANAAN- isreal) thereof which We had blessed. And the fair word of thy Lord was fulfilled for the Children of Israel because of their endurance; and We annihilated (all) that Pharaoh and his folk had done and that they had contrived.

And We brought the Children of Israel across the sea, and they came unto a people who were given up to idols which they had. They said: O Moses! Make for us a god even as they have gods. He said: Lo! ye are a folk who know not.
