ive read many times on here that christians dont have to follow the ten commandmetns or live by the laws and punishments as set by Moses. they apparently live by a 'spiritual law'.

so how does a christian deal with crime?

what would a christian do, for example, to a multiple murderer? do you forgive and let them go? do you put them in prison for the rest of their lives? or do you do what Moses said and kill them?

That's why most Christians stay in that religion.

They don't want the responsibility of living a righteous life and obeying the commandments.

"Let Jesus take care of everything."

But Jesus said the laws still stand and even their innovating apostle Paul said faith without works is dead.

And you reckon when that particular scripture says 'faith without works is dead', the works part is talking about the Law. How do you work that one out?

Since I never said that, your guess is as good a mine.

Ahmaad...it's Sassylady not Saucy lady. And, I didn't say you said it, I asked how you got to interpret it that way.

TheStudent...a multiple murderer would have to abide with the laws of the land. 'You do the crime, you do the time'

'Agree with your adversary quickly, while you are on the way with him, lest your adversary deliver you to the judge, the judge hand you over to the officer, and you be thrown into prison. Assuredly, I say to you, you will by no means get out of there till you have paid the last penny' (Matthew 5:25,26)

i dont want to hear about the laws of the land, i want to know about CHRISTIAN LAWS.
jesus said:
Matthew 5:17 (Revised Standard Version)
"Think not that I have come to abolish the law and the prophets; I have come not to abolish them but to fulfil them.

so whos laws was he talking about? as we know he was a jew and infact called RABBI, he can only be talking about the Laws of Moses.

and moses' laws state an eye for eye. he who kills, shall be killed.

He is here to cause confusion. He focus more on other people's stuff, yet he fails to look at himself.

saint,
instead of trying wasting server space, why dont you answer the question:

ANSWER MY QUESTION PLEASE!!

what would a christian do, for example, to a multiple murderer? do you forgive and let them go? do you put them in prison for the rest of their lives? or do you do what Moses said and kill them?

remember:

Matthew 5:17 (Revised Standard Version)
"Think not that I have come to abolish the law and the prophets; I have come not to abolish them but to fulfil them.

so whos laws was jesus talking about? as we know he was a jew and infact called RABBI, he can only be talking about the Laws of Moses.

Well I really do hope you find a person to answer in the way you already have it answered in your head...instead of asking a question why not just say your point and ask people to prove differently, then you'll get the right kind of person to converse with you.
