If there was no devil, who would we try to overcome?
Allah dosent need us. we NEED Him. He dosent need us to pray to Him. We NEED to pray to Him. We pray to Him to increase our faith and our rank in the hearafter.
Similarly, we need the devil to give us a common goal so as to overcome. It is this overcoming of the devil that we gain a higher rank and increase faith.

MY RESPONSE:
You self-righteous Muslims seem to think you have the answers for everything yet you cannot agree amongst yourselves just what those answers actually are. Whose spirit is filling the Islamic Muslims who blow themselves up killing many people they see as their inferiors, eh? They are certain that they are filled with the Spirit of Allah. I imagine that you will say they are filled with the spirit of the devil and if they caught you saying this they would most probably kill you as an infidel.
If the United States government hires a hit-man to kill your entire family while you watch who is ultimately responsible for the act? The hit-man or the United States government who hired him? Where, if not from Allah, does anyone or anything get the power to exist? If Allah allows ANYTHING to happen then Allah is equally responsible for whatever happens in His universe. If Allah is not responsible for everything that happens in His universe then Allah is irresponsible. An irresponsible creator of the universe cannot be counted on to keep any promise so make your choice. Either believe in a God who is fully responsible for everything that happens in His universe and can keep all promises He may make or believe in a God who is irresponsible and has no control over evil and thus cannot be counted on to keep any promise.
TheStudent comes into this forum certain that he is wiser than all and ready to teach you of the ways of Allah. When any uncomfortable truth confronts him TheStudent tends to act as though nothing happened and completely ignores it. I say that those who reject truth in favor of their religions are destined for whatever hells they would condemn others to for those who are truly of Allah embrace the truth no matter how much that truth may hurt. If it means giving up their lives to embrace the ultimate truth they should be more than willing to do so. If it means giving up their religions in order to embrace the ultimate truth they should be more than willing to do so. Woe to those who embrace their religions and reject ultimate truth in the process. Make no mistake about it: Allah loves those who love the truth and the enemies of Allah are also the enemies of truth!
