christians claim they are rightly guided by the 'Holy Spirit'. they claim that everything they do is guided by this spirit. they claim that it is this guidance from the holy spirit that is missing from followers of other faiths. they claim that to recieve the holy spirit all one must do is accept jesus as god and saviour.they claim that this holy spirit makes them infallible. they claim they are 'FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT'.

so where, i ask, is the holy spirit when a christian kills another christian,rapes another christian, robs another christian? where is the holy spirit when a christian slips and breaks their leg? where is the holy spirit when a christian reverts to islam?

so kanobi, what does that say about the holy spirit? is it only with you on a part time basis? when its not with you, are you not a christian? what of all those people who say 'they are filled with the holy spirit' when its 'not there'? are they just fooling themselves? when do you know it is or isnt there?

well really, youve already come with your own pre-concived views on the Holy Spirit. But if you've looked in the Bible in the New Testement, theres a passage on the fruits on the Holy Spirit eg gentleness, Kindness, self control. You can tell a Christian by their fruits of the Spirit. The terrorists who bombed the world trade center, claimed God told them to do it. They believed it was an act of God but to me, I cant see how my all loving, all kind God would tell them to go bomb the trade center and kill so many people. That is not in accordance with the Biblical view of God. The Holy Spirit enters a person when they say that they accept Jesus as their Lord and saviour and repent of their sins and we are not perfect, none of us are. We sin all the time. Jesus said the Holy Spirit was our counsellar ( cant spell that word) who would be with us all the time but the Holy Spirit has feelings, it grieves when we do wrong. We still have the choice though of making the decion of wrong or right even if the Holy Spirit is with us but if we ask for help from God to help us overcome temptation the Holy Spirit is there to guide us and help us. ( Ive probly gone of the question)

so tell me, the CHRISTIANS who initiated the CRUSADES and slaughtered thousands of muslims and jews, did they have the holy spirit?

the christians who slaughtered and drove out the muslims and jews from Andalucia (Spain), did they have the holy spirit?

did the christians who burned 'witches' at the stake FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT?

did the christians who gave native americans blankets plauged with polio, filled with the holy spirit?

Most people wouldn't recognize the Ruach Ha Kodesh if it touched them anyway. Most ofthose people that you see in church jumping around are filled with familiar spirits. They allow themselves to be seduced by the very thing they are trying to get rid of. Even evil spirits know which people are real and which are fake in the church and they recognize what person have any spirituality at all. Read Acts 19:13-16. Even thought the priest said that he came in the name of Yahshua or in his spirit the evil spirit knew that it was not so. It is the Ruach that protects against this.

And even though the Ruach will guide you you have to be ready to be led or you have to be ready to follow.

Another thing most of the people who say that they believe in the "holy ghost" really don't believe in the power that it has. They think speaking in tongues and jumping around is what it is about but that isn't the half of it.

Did you come to ask or state your opinion??? Seems to me you have your own assumtions of my faith and what it entails...do you really want to know about the Holy Spirit? Or do you want to judge and call attention to the downfall of man (which is sin).

The Holy spirit is VERY REAL, but so is Sin...you must remmeber that God gave of the gift of free will and sadly we sometimes make the wrong decisions in life...Throughout the Bible, you have people who were at their lowest state before God stepped in and delivered them...You will never be able to expereince this if you don't seek him..He'll meet you where you are. But you have to want it.

To me, you just wrote this to prove a point and are trying to insult the Holy Spirit, so there is no need to debate with you....

'A true believer in GOD knows that God is not foumd through religions, going to church, praying 5 times a day to the east, enetering the temple every Friday night or any of that...'

says YOU. and who are YOU? are you a prophet? are you a scholar? praying in congregation is MORE BENEFICIAL for you than praying alone. it is simple logic. Islam encourages UNITY. and then you have the nerve to say:

'I prefer going to church, I am blessed to be in a church that expresses all the charateristics of GOD'
