There is s hadith which states that in matters of differences of opinion, a muslim should always side with the majority as Allah will not send them astray.
Now what is evidently clear is that the majority of the muslim world rejects the NOI due to their various beliefs not being in line with Quran and Muhammeds words.
So we must remember the words of the Final Prophet and 'Follow the majority'

IJTIHAD - EXERCISE OF JUDGMENT
Ijtihad is the third source from which the laws of Islam are drawn. The word itself is derived from the root jahd which means exerting oneself to the utmost or to the best of one's ability; and Ijtihad, which literally conveys the same significance, is technically applicable to a lawyer's exerting the faculties of mind to the utmost for the purpose of forming an opinion in a case of law respecting a doubtful and difficult point (LL.).
Value of reason recognized
Reasoning or the exercise of judgment, in theological as well as in legal matters, plays a very important part in the religion of Islam, and the value of reason is expressly recognized in the Qur'an, which is full of exhortations like the following: "Do you not reflect?" "Do you not understand?" "Have you no sense?" "There are signs in this for a people who reflect;" "There are signs in this for a people who understand;" and so on.
Those who do not use their reasoning faculty are compared to animals, and spoken of as being deaf, dumb and blind:
"And the parable of those who disbelieve is as the parable of one who calls out to that which hears no more than a call and a cry. Deaf, dumb, blind, so they have no sense" (2 : 171).
"They have hearts wherewith they understand not, and they have eyes wherewith they see not, and they have ears wherewith they hear not. They are as cattle; nay, they are more astray" (7 : 179).
"The vilest of beasts in Allah's sight are the deaf, the dumb, who understand not" (8 : 22). "Or thmkest thou that most of them hear or understand? They are but as the cattle; nay, they are farther astray from the path" (25 : 44).
While those who do not exercise their reason or judgment are condemned, those who do it are praised:
"In the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of the night and the day, there are surely signs for men of understanding. Those who remember Allah standing and sitting and (lying) on their sides, and reflect on the creation of the heavens and the earth" (3 : 189, 190).
The Qur'an does recognize revelation as a source of knowledge higher than reason, but at the same time admits that the truth of the principles established by revelation may be judged by reason, and hence it is that it repeatedly appeals to reason and denounces those who do not use their reasoning faculty. It also recognizes the necessity of the exercise of judgment in order to arrive at a decision:
"But if any news of security or fear comes to them, they spread it abroad. And if they had referred it to the Messenger and to those in authority among them, those of them who can search out the knowledge of it would have known it" (4 : 83).
The verse recognizes the principle of the exercise of judgment which is the same as Ijtihad, and though the occasion on which it is mentioned is a particular one, the principle recognized is general.
The Prophet allowed exercise of judgment in religious matters
The exercise of judgment (ijtihad) is recognized in Tradition as the means by which a decision may be arrived at when there is no direction in the Qur'an or Tradition.
The following tradition is regarded as the basis of Ijtihad in Islam:
"On being appointed Governor of Yaman, Mu'adh was asked by the Prophet as to the rule by which he would abide. He replied, 'By the law of the Qur'an.' 'But if you do not find any direction therein,' asked the Prophet. 'Then I will act according to the practice (Sun-nah) of the Prophet,' was the reply. 'But if you do not find any direction therein,' he was again asked. 'Then I will exercise my judgment (ajta-hidu) and act on that,' came the reply. The Prophet raised his hands and said: 'Praise be to Allah Who guides the messenger of His Apostle as He pleases' " (AD. 23 : 11).
This tradition shows not only that the Prophet approved of the exercise of judgment, but also that his Companions were well aware of the principle, and that reasoning or exercise of judgment by others was freely resorted to when necessary, even in the Prophet's lifetime.
EXERCISE OF JUDGMENT BY THE COMPANIONS
It is a mistake to suppose that the exercise of judgment to meet the new circumstances only came into vogue with the four great jurists (Imams) whose opinion is now generally accepted in the Islamic world. The work had begun, as already shown, in the Prophet's lifetime, since it was impossible to refer every case to him. After the Prophet's death, the principle of Ijtihad obtained a wider prevalence, and as new areas were added to the material and spiritual realm of Islam, the need of resorting to the exercise of the judgment became greater...
DIFFERENT METHODS OF FORMULATING NEW LAWS
The four Jurists (Imams), who are accepted by the entire Sunni world of Islam, are thus agreed in giving an important place in legislation to Ijtihad, and the Shi'as attached to it an even greater importance. In fact, the sphere of Ijtihad is a very wide one, since it seeks to fulfil all the requirements of the Muslim community which are not met with expressly in the Qur'an and the Tradition. The great jurists of Islam have endeavoured to meet these demands by various methods, technically known as qiyas (analogical reasoning), istihsan (equity), istislah (public good), and istidlal (inference)...
TO DIFFER WITH MAJORITY IS NO SIN
It may be added here that the sense in which the word Ijma' is commonly used nowadays is quite erroneous, for it is taken to mean the opinion of the majority, and it is generally thought that it is a sin on the part of a Muslim to differ with the views of the majority. But honest difference of opinion, instead of being a sin, is called a mercy by the Prophet, who is reported to have said: "The differences of my people are a mercy." Difference of opinion is called a mercy because it is only through encouraging it that the reasoning faculty is developed, and the truth ultimately discovered...
THE DOOR OF IJTIHAD IS STILL OPEN
...It is a mistake to suppose that the door of Ijtihad was closed after the four Imams mentioned above. It is quite clear that the free exercise of judgment was allowed by the Qur'an, while both the Qur'an and the Tradition explicitly allowed analogical deduction (istinbat), and it was on the basis of these directions that the Muslim world continued to exercise its judgment in making laws for itself....

first of all from your post:
12.Â* WE BELIEVE that Allah (God) appeared in the Person of Master Fad Muhammad, July, 1930; the long-awaited "Messiah" of the Christians and the "Mahdi" of the Muslims.

This is obvious shirk, it amazes me that you can not see this.this ONE statement takes you OUT of the fold of Islam.
you say that muhammed raised the nation of islam. can you tell me if the same christianity is being practicesed today as that preached by jesus?you have just stolen then name islam and used it for your purposes.
tell me, how many asians are in the nation?
read:
" What! Have they partners (In godhead), who have established for them some religion without the permission of Allah? Had it not been for the decree of judgment, the matter would have been decided between them (at once) but verily the wrong doers will have a grievous penalty " [42:21]
" The day that their faces will be turned upside down in the fire, they will say, Woe to us! would that we had obeyed Allah and obeyed the Apostle!. And they would say, Our Lord! we obeyed our chiefs and our great ones, and they mislead us as to the (right) path " [33: 66,67
" Being a human being my sayings can be right or wrong so take those to follow which are in accordance with the Qur'an and the Hadith, and leave those which are against it' Imam Malik
i will find you that hadith soon

Sahih Bukhari
Volume 4, Book 56, Number 803:
Narrated Hudhaifa bin Al-Yaman:
The people used to ask Allah's Apostle about good, but I used to ask him about evil for fear that it might overtake me. Once I said, "O Allah's Apostle! We were in ignorance and in evil and Allah has bestowed upon us the present good; will there by any evil after this good?" He said, "Yes." I asked, "Will there be good after that evil?" He said, "Yes, but it would be tained with Dakhan (i.e. Little evil)." I asked, "What will its Dakhan be?" He said, "There will be some people who will lead (people) according to principles other than my tradition. You will see their actions and disapprove of them." I said, "Will there by any evil after that good?" He said, "Yes, there will be some people who will invite others to the doors of Hell, and whoever accepts their invitation to it will be thrown in it (by them)." I said, "O Allah's Apostle! Describe those people to us." He said, "They will belong to us and speak our language" I asked, "What do you order me to do if such a thing should take place in my life?" He said, "Adhere to the group of Muslims and their Chief." I asked, "If there is neither a group (of Muslims) nor a chief (what shall I do)?" He said, "Keep away from all those different sects, even if you had to bite (i.e. eat) the root of a tree, till you meet Allah while you are still in that state."
Sunan Abu-Dawud
Book 40, Number 4579:
Narrated AbuHurayrah:
The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said: The Jews were split up into seventy-one or seventy-two sects; and the Christians were split up into seventy one or seventy-two sects; and my community will be split up into seventy-three sects.
Seems here that the "majority" can't always be trusted, especially in the Last Days.
Do you believe we are in the Last Days?
What was the language of Prophet Muhammad?

Below is the FULL text of "What the Muslims Believe", by the Hon. Elijah Muhammad:
|
Quote:
What the Muslims Believe
1. WE BELIEVE in the One God Whose proper Name is Allah.
2. WE BELIEVE in the Holy Qur'an and in the Scriptures of all the Prophets of God.
3. WE BELIEVE in the truth of the Bible, but we believe that it has been tampered with and must be reinterpreted so that mankind will not be snared by the falsehoods that have been added to it.
4. WE BELIEVE in Allah's Prophets and the Scriptures they brought to the people.
5. WE BELIEVE in the resurrection of the dead -- but not in the physical resurrection -- but in mental resurrection. We believe that the so-called Negro's are most in need of mental resurrection therefore they will be resurrected first.
Furthermore, we believe we are the people of God's choice, as it has been written. That God would choose the rejected and the despised. We can find no other persons fitting this description in these last days more than the s0-called Negro's in America. We believe in the resurrection of the righteous.
6. WE BELIEVE in the judgement; We believe this first judgement will take place - as GodRevealed -in America.
7. WE BELIEVE this is the time in history for the separation of the so-called Negro's and so-called white Americans. We believe the black men should be freed in name as well as in fact. By this we mean that he should be freed from the names imposed upon him by his former slave masters. Names which identified him as being the slave master's slave. We believe that if we are free indeed, we should go in our own people's names - the black people of the earth.
8. WE BELIEVE in justice for all, whether in God or not; We believe as others, that we are due equal justice as human beings. We believe in equality -- as a nation -- of equals. We do not believe that we are equal with our slave master in the status of "freed slaves".
We recognize and respect American citizens as independent people and we respect their laws which govern this nation.
9. WE BELIEVE that the offer of Integration is hypocritical and is made by those who are trying to deceive the black people into believing that their 400 year-old open enemies of freedom, justice and equality are, all of a sudden, their "friends". Furthermore, we believe that such deception is intended to prevent black people from realizing that the time in history has arrived for the separation from the whites of this nation.
If the white people are truthful about their professed friendship toward the so-called Negro, they can prove it by dividing up America with their slaves.
We do not believe that America will ever be able to furnish jobs for her own millions of unemployed, in addition to jobs for the 20,000,000 black people as well.
10. WE BELIEVE that we who declared ourselves to be righteous Muslims, should not participate in wars which take the lives of humans. We do not believe this nation should force us to take part in such wars, for we have nothing to gain from it unless America agrees to give us the necessary territory wherein we may have something to fight for.
11. WE BELIEVE our women should be respected and protected as the women of their nationalities are respected and protected.
12. WE BELIEVE that Allah (God) appeared in the Person of Master Fad Muhammad, July, 1930; the long-awaited "Messiah" of the Christians and the "Mahdi" of the Muslims.
We believe further and lastly that Allah is God and besides HIM there is no God, and He will bring about a universal government of peace wherein we all can live in peace together.

^^^^
so please explain to me how :
12.Â* WE BELIEVE that Allah (God) appeared in the Person of Master Fad Muhammad, July, 1930; the long-awaited "Messiah" of the Christians and the "Mahdi" of the Muslims.
dosent equal shirk? to me this is EXACLTY the same as a christian calling jesus god. this is just a futile attempt of humanising Allah, which as we know is SHIRK.
you see, it DOSENT matter what else you believe in. that one statement above COMPLETLY nullifies you as MUSLIM. but i would still like to read your explantion of it and why you think it isnt shirk.
this is the part of that hadith that pertains to your sect:
"What do you order me to do if such a thing should take place in my life?" He said, "Adhere to the group of Muslims and their Chief." I asked, "If there is neither a group (of Muslims) nor a chief (what shall I do)?" He said, "Keep away from all those different sects, even if you had to bite (i.e. eat) the root of a tree, till you meet Allah while you are still in that state."
KEEP AWAY FROM SECTS! what is NOI but a SECT!
and you even clarify it yourself with this hadith:
Sunan Abu-Dawud
Book 40, Number 4579:
Narrated AbuHurayrah:
The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said: The Jews were split up into seventy-one or seventy-two sects; and the Christians were split up into seventy one or seventy-two sects; and my community will be split up into seventy-three sect.
these sects started to appear with the rise of Shia Ali and continue to this day.
whats interesting is that muhammed also said:
"One group from my Ummah will always hold fast to truth and it will always have the assistance of Allah. No one who dissociated from it will be able to do harm to it up to the Day of Judgement." (Al-Bukhari, 13/293)
so we can see from here that out of 73 sects, only ONE will always hold fast to truth.
now lets look at some other facts about NOI that prove that it is NOT the sect that is 'holding fast to truth'
muhammed taught EQUALITY. im sure you know he said that no arab is better than a non arab and no white is better than a black. muslims all around the world are of black, white, asian, oriental and whatever else group of people. this is in accordance with the teaching of equality in islam. there is much proof in the Quran to support this.
now we have the NOI, a sect that teaches black nationalism. in my eyes no more than a black KKK. but to redeem yourself, please tell me as you have dodged the question many times:
how many WHITE, ORIENTAL,LATINO and ASIAN members of NOI are there?
if there arent any, why not? do they not deserve to be muslim?
please do not dodge this question in your next reply.

i cant find that hadith online. i will have to look in my books.
what i just dont understand is, for someone who has such apparent knowledge of islam, the quran and hadith, you do not see the truth? i am truly dumbfounded.
also, i think everyone knows the answer to the question i directed at you. ZERO. please correct me if im wrong.
this ones for you:
SahihAl Bukhari
Volume 1, Book 3, Number 71:
Narrated Muawiya:
I heard Allah's Apostle saying, "If Allah wants to do good to a person, He makes him comprehend the religion. I am just a distributor, but the grant is from Allah. (And remember) that this nation (true Muslims) will keep on following Allah's teachings strictly and they will not be harmed by any one going on a different path till Allah's order (Day of Judgment) is established."
see bro, we have both been made to comprehend the religion. im sure you think about islam just as much as i do, that is why we post up on these forums. we both have a passion for islam and knowledge. inshallah you will see islam for what it really is one day.
