In Summation
Now that you've read my resume, I'm confident that I'm the

Nice resume. The only problem with it though is that prospective employers usually want some proof. When they check it out what they will find is that much of that resume is in fact Gods resume and Jesus was not God.

Did Jesus make statements reguarding his status, the words, the will and the power he used ? Let us find out.

Some Christians, (not all) claim that Jesus implied that he was God. From the following verses, we see that Jesus denied being God. It now leaves the Christians who believe Jesus is God to provide just one single verse in the Bible where Jesus says "I am God". There is no such verse, so we see from the many quotes following, that the House did not belong to Jesus, it belonged to the ONE WHO SENT him.

Is Jesus the Unique son of God ?

The Bible confirms that Jesus is not the unique son of God.

"And thou [Moses] shalt say unto Pharaoh, Thus saith the Lord, Israel is my son, even my first born." (Exodus 4:22),

"He [Solomon] shall build a house for my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom for ever. I will be his father and he shall be my son." (II Samuel 7:13-14),

"I am a father to Israel and Ephraim is my firstborn"(Jeremiah 31:9), 'long before Jesus was born', "I will declare the decree:the Lord hath said unto me [David], Thou art my son; this day have I begotten thee."(Psalm 2:7),

and "Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God"(Luke3: 38).

Do the few I mentioned have this "unique begotten son relationship"? Is Jesus still unique because he had no father?

Well brothers and sisters, Adam and Eve had no father or mother. Jesus is a word of God, God said "be" and then Jesus was created, Quran 19:9. It is Blasphemy to say God begotten (sired) Jesus.

Jesus called himself son of man and refused to be called son of God.

"And the devils also came out of many, crying out, and saying, Thou art Christ the Son of God. And he rebuking them suffered them not to speak; for they knew that he was Christ." (Luke 4:11)

and again "He [Jesus] said unto them [the disciples], But whom say ye that I am? Peter answering said, The
Christ of God. And he straightly charged them, and commanded them to tell no man that thing." (Luke 9:20 and 21).

So my 15 (approx) verses that clearly and strongly imply that Jesus is not god mean nothing? compared to your 2 verses that imply nothing.

The two verses do not even compare. The first clearly has god saying he is god.

God Said: (Isaiah 44:6). I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God

The second has jesus saying he is the first and the last, it does not say he is god! For the statements to have the same meaning, the end bit must be added, however it is not!

The Ancestors of "God": "The generations of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham." (Matthew, 1:1)

The Sex of "God": "And when eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of the child, his name was called Jesus." (Luke, 2:21)

How Mary Conceived and Delivered "God". Mary conceived Jesus like any other woman: "The days were accomplished that she should be delivered," (Luke,2:6) which means that she went through all the normal stages of pregnancy. Nor was her delivery any different from other expectant mothers: "And she being with child cried, travelling in birth, and pained to be delivered."

A Sleepy "God": "He was asleep." (Matthew, 8:24), "He fell asleep" (Luke,8:23), "And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow." (Mark, 4:38)

A Weary "God": Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well." (John, 4:6)

A Groaning "God": "He groaned in the spirit, and was troubled." (John,11:33), "Jesus therefore again groaning in himself cometh to the grave."(John, 11:38)

A Weeping "God": "Jesus wept." (John, 11:35)

"GOD" went ON THE RUN

"God" Was Panic-Stricken: "After these things Jesus walked in Galilee: for he would not walk in Jewry, because the Jews sought to kill him." (John, 7:1)

"God" Walked in Fear of the Jews: "Then from that day forth they took counsel together for to put him to death. Jesus therefore walked no more openly among the Jews." (John, 11:53-54)

"God" Has Shown a Clean Pair of Heels: "Therefore they sought again to take him: but he escaped out of their hand." (John, 10:39)

"God" Fled in Disguise: "Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by." (John, 8:59)

"God" Was Arrested, Bound and Led Away: "Then the band and the captain and officers of the Jews took Jesus, and bound him, and led him away." (John, 18:12-13)

"God" Was Humiliated: "And the men that held Jesus mocked him, and smote him. And when they had blindfolded him, they struck him on the face." (Luke, 22:63-64). "Then did they spit in his face, and buffeted him; and others smote him with the palms of their hands." (Matthew, 26:67)

"God" Was Defenseless: "One of the officers which stood by struck Jesus with the palm of his hand", he said: "Why smitest thou me?" (John, 18:22-23)

"God" Was Condemned to Death: "And they all condemned him to be guilty of death." (Mark, 14:64). "They answered and said, he is guilty of death."

The Dumb and Docile "God": "He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth." (Acts, 8:32)

The "God" That Was Supposed Dead and Defunct: "Christ died." (Romans, 5:6). "He was dead". (John, 19:33)

The Supposed Corpse of "God": "he (Joseph of Arimathaea) went to Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded the body to be delivered." (Matthew, 27:58)

The Shroud of "God": "And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth." (Matthew, 27:59)

The Orbituary of The Late And Lamented "God": "Now when the centurion saw what was done, he glorified God, saying, certainly this was a righteous man."

Christ the Alpha and the Omega

I have been in discussions over the years with Unitarians from different persuasions over the issue of whether or not Christ is ever given the Divine designation "Alpha and Omega." I assert unequivocally that He is, and that such is a clear testament to His absolute and unqualified Deity. The main verse under dispute is:

Revelation 22:12 "And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last."

The specific Unitarian argument that I will deal with basically states that neither Christ nor the Father is directly speaking in this passage, but rather the angel that John was previously speaking with in the preceding verses has continued speaking as the representative of the Father. Of course that begs the question of why the angel could not be speaking as the representative of Christ if indeed the angel is still speaking. In answering these questions, there are many assumptions made in the Unitarian argument to this passage, the foundation of which is the assumption of the unipersonality of God and a "functional-only" Christology. Those are assumptions imported into this text, not derived from this text (and in fact highly foreign to it).

Coming Along

As its first support, the Unitarian argument states that although Christ is the One who is literally coming to earth throughout Revelation, the Father is also spoken of as the One coming, though He never will literally descend to the earth. Now I unabashedly answer this point from my orthodox preterist position and state that Revelation does not in fact teach that Christ is "literally" coming, if by "literally" the meaning is that He is leaving Heaven bodily and physically descending to the earth. That is not something taught at all by Revelation. It is taught elsewhere in the Bible, but not here, and is speaking of an entirely different event than the bulk of Revelation.

Of course, even if the Unitarian were correct about the nature of this "coming," the assumption is also made in this argument and elsewhere that Christ is ONLY acting as the representative/agent of the Father and that such would necessarily exclude Him from the Identity of Deity (an unwarranted leap). If in fact, this is not a bodily coming to earth, and it is not, but rather a judgment from Heaven, the need for a representative "agent" in the person of Christ is not needed. The onl
