Certain things that were done in the old testament were done for a reason and it worked perfectly well in those times. Then Christ came andhe fullfilled a promise that was stated in the old testament. From that point on he created a new way of life for christians to follow in which salvation could be obtain in the mist of an ever- changing reality.

The reason why Islam isstruggling in the present day is because the laws were created to bind a person to God. If the law was created by God then the law could not be changed. In christianity you are not bounded by law, you are bounded by faith.

aliyah, why are you so quick to criticise islam? how will this benefit you in practising and understanding your faith?
if you wish to talk about the Laws of the Quran than i will be happy to in another thread.
what i would like to know is, how far do you go in following these laws? where is the cut-off point? are the laws in the NT clear cut as in the OT? and did Jesus follow the OT laws or not? or did he just teach their correct application?

I am not quick to critize Islam, but like many people i am not completly blinded to the world so i can see for myself the issues that many muslims are facing...

Now, if u want to act like the typical muslim male and say there are no problems between muslims and islam...go ahead..it will only hurt u more in the end

Racism in Islam doesnt exist..never ever ever..all muslims love each other and everyone around them. They treat everyone fairly and equally. Muslims are never judgemental. Blacks are never treated wrongly in Islam.

are you sure?
Bible: Genesis 2:7 “And the LORD God formed man [of] the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
Bible: Job 32:8 “But [there is] a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.
is this 'holy spirit' not just the spiritual essence that gives man life?

Only the ten commandments should be followed

Hebrews 8:6-13(King James Version)
6[/suP]But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.
7[/suP]For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.
8[/suP]For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:
9[/suP]Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.
10[/suP]For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
11[/suP]And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.
12[/suP]For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
13[/suP]In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.
The punishment was part of the old covenant.

See Jesus became the law of the Spirit of life in romans 8:2, freeing us from the law of sin and death (exodus 29:14, Deut 17:6) this eliminates the penaltys by death in the law
Hebrews 10:14, For by one offering he hath perfected forever them that are sanctified, He is our sacrifice that remits our sins and makes us whole, Heb 10:1-6 the blood of bulls and goats could not sustain, because those sacrifices were offered year by year, but by Christ they are not needed, because he is our sacrifce that cleansed us.
the 10 commandments we must follow because they are that which was righteous of the law (romans 8:2) and ill add the law for eating certain food was eliminated during the GRACE DISPENSATION (Eph 3:2) Colossians 2:16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect od an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days, (romans 14:2&3) so those that were once alienated from God (Eph 2:12) could now be as the jew because the wall of partition that was between them was broken down (Eph 2:14) and that the gentiles should be fellow heirs and and of the same body and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel (Eph 3:6)in this dispensation of time the gentile was to live with grace by faith.
now with that being said, lets move on....we are now in the dispensation of the fulness of time (Eph 1:10) in this era of time God is gathering together in one all things in Christ. Which deals with REFORMATON > The change from LAW to GRACE ("Hebrews 9:10) a time when the church was reformed by GOD from the DISPENSATION OF LAW, (GIVEN TO THE JEW TIMELINE WISE 1,718 YEARS BY REVELATION) to the DISPENSATION OF GRACE (GIVEN TO THE GENTILES TIMELINE WISE 1,959 YEARS BY REVELATION) So from the Grace dispensation we are now in the DISPENSATION OF THE FULNESS OF TIME ( a time when the things are being restored or in restitution ACTS 3:21) God is gathering both jew and gentile into (Eph 4:5) one lord one faith one baptism, and bringing us into the unity of the faith (Eph 4:13) Combing both law( the 10 commandments) and testimony (the holy ghost) into one faith fulfilling Isaiah 8:16&20: BInd up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples 20) tothe law and to the testimony if they speak not according to this word there is no light in them.

this goes into keeping the SABBATH DAY. WE MUST DO IT and DO IT HOLY the 10 commandments say so (Exodus 20:8,Hebrews 4:7) once again the Sabbath holds a 3 fold fulfillment from LAW to GRACE to FULNESS OF TIMES. Sabbath during the grace era was looked upon as a SHADOW OF THING S TO COME (col 2:16&17) because during the grace era it was righteousness by faith without LAW. (Romans 3:21-22) many people say well sunday is our Sabbath ---not so---(4:8-10, Hebrews 4:1-4&7) | |
