My role as a christian is to follow the whole word of God before any man. And to lead people to the TRUTH.

What is the difference between Joshuas and Moses's generation?

Joshua's generation, is that like New Labour ?

This term is used by the young in churches these days as almost something of defiance against the elders of the church. We do things differently therefore we are the Joshua generation.

We should be careful for in the day that Moses died, it was God who told Joshua arise and that he would lift Joshua up in the sight of the people as he did Moses. Problem to me with the Joshua generation, they running around powerless, without neither the power that Moses or Joshua had.

I have no longing to be apart of any Joshua generation if it means throwing our elders on the scrap heap as if no wisdom or knowledge can be gained from them. I'd rather be like Elijah and Elias, who he followed after his master, and eventually asked, let a double portion of the Spirit that be on Elijah fall also on me.

The both of you are right, this JOSHUA's GENERATION is not a church based thing, its christian artist, but i agree that the church has a disobedient generation, and all of us are included in that. im reminded of what Jesus said to the scribes and pharisees, in the book of the gospels, that you nullify the word of GOD for the sake of your tradition, meaning this there are still elders in this generationwho have held up traditions intodays church and its killing our people because they arent getting fed or taught the right things, we as a church focus on the wrong things in church, didbt the bible say we are now justified by faith and not by works?

So here is the analogy of moses and joshua, that im relaying, both were called by GOd, moses being the one who gave the law, and rememberhe couldnt take the people in because he__________ God, so God called Joshua, meaning all of us to set the standard and break tradition, and i dont mean dis-respect anyone, the bible says to obey your elders, butwe noticed that later in the new testament that God started calling men at their youth, look at David, his son Solomon, just to name a few, andnow us and we as a people have to be ready for the move ofGod from a missionary aspect.

so to answer your question moses represents the church that is only concerned about their own trditions, fads and success, like building bigger buildings, having commercials in church, and lets not forget the homosexuals being open eithout rebuke, bveacuse they in da choir, etc.you get the point, and joshua represents people young and old who are concerned about souls period, people who will sacrifice it all for thespreading of the word.holla back if you still dont undersatand http://www.cdbaby.com/joshuasgen

Faith without works is dead.

Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea we establish the law. Romans 3:31

The verse that you are talking about nulifying the word of God for your tradition. I think this is talking about people who worship on sundays instead of the sabbath. saturday is the law but sunday is the tradition.

Their are plenty more text concerning this.

I don't believe its okay for gay's to think its okayto be in church and be in the choir or preach, their are gay people who know that it's wrong and want to change that is a good thing. God won't turn anybody away who ask for forgiveness. But to be in church thinking it's okay to be gaythat is wrong.

We should be trying to live by the bible.

Love one another how God has loved you.
