Sol,
What is meant by "taken up into heaven"? Perhaps more importantly, what are
the Hebrew words for these english translitions - do they have alternative
meanings? What are there etymologies? By the way, the same thing is said
to have happened to Enoch. . .

For obvious reasons, only the Old Testament is addressed. The
following is it's meaning, along w/ where the word "heaven", may be

shamayim
shaw-mah'-yim

the visible arch in which the clouds move, as well as to the higher
ether where the celestial bodies revolve):--air, X astrologer, heaven

Please, correct me if I am incorrect. I belive the NEW TESTAMENT was
written in GREEK. The following is it's meaning, along w/ where the

ouranos
oo-ran-os'
perhaps from the same as oroV - oros 3735 (through the idea of
elevation); the sky; by extension, heaven (as the abode of God); by
implication, happiness, power, eternity; specially, the Gospel
(Christianity):--air, heaven(-ly), sky.

First of all heaven can be anywhere even though some places are more likely. When people go to heaven after physically dieing their soul(the real you) goes to a different dimension not usually able to notice by living humans. Just like there bad and good places on earth there are these kind of places in other dimensions.

You would have to ask yourself why would Jesus want his whole body to fly to a heaven without it dieing first? It would have to go in some type of aircraft. And then for what?

Your soul being in heaven without the human body feels so much better LOL. Once it enters the human body from what would be heaven you become less mortal.

The true meaning and origin of heaven originates from the early years of human existence. It was merely a creation made by humans to give meaning to their somewhat purposeless lives in a world with no answers nor direction.
Thats the true meaning

Heaven simply means "atmostphere" or "firmament".
You can take a 747 Jet to heaven....
The place in which every righteous believer strives to go after death and Judgement is called commonly known as Paradise.
Some people call the belief in Paradise and Hell after death, "slave teaching".
Ha ha ha........
People have been believing in Paradise after death LOOOOOOOONG before black folks were enslaved in America, so I don't know where they made that connection at.
It amazes me how so many people can continue to be skeptical of an actual Paradise after death when plenty of people of all religions and cultures through out history have had visions and prophecies of Paradise and they all describe it as a wonderful Garden.
Thousands of people have had died and came back to relate their divine experiences as witnesses to the realities of another world beyond this one.
Am I my brother\'s keeper?
YES I AM
