Careful that you don't venture too far into Islamophobia my friend.... That sort of thing is frowned upon. Remember that Islam itself is not the same thing as Arab culture of the Arabisation of northern Africa. This was simply a muslim thread IMO and therefore anti Arabism (where I politically find myself too) has no real relevance here.
The better thing to do would be to apologise or if now that, just refrain from posting. Bear in mind there are millions of black muslims in Africa...

But it was my understanding that scripture about Lucifer was refuring to Marduk (a Babylonian god) being brought down from his Earthly thrown not Satan himself.

if that was a statement of fact WHY use the word "IF" instead of "WHEN".

Good question.

I'm not sure if the original Arabic makes as clear of a distinction between "when" and "if" as the English translation does.

But in my opinion there are 2 reasons:

- The only thing guranteed to all men are death and judgement, Allah knows our future but doesn't alway reveal it in full detail for different reasons.

Maybe He didn't gurantee that we'd be able to reach space because He wanted us to concentrate on the message of the Koran rather than glueing feathers to ourselve and jumping off mountains trying to reach the heavens.



-Another reason is becauese many of the Jinn were already passing through the heavens and going into outter space. So for them it wasn't a question of "when" but "if" they are able to pass through the heavens.
Some of them were and some weren't able to; they had been demoted and had much of their power and technology taken away from them that allowed them to skip around space from planet to planet before this verse was revealed.
