I'm just curious as to why people convert? was it after serious study? or were you induced by someone else who you were freinds with and respected?

Were you lost and confused about your former religion?

My conversion wasn't spiritual but strictly a rational and logical one.

Interestingly enough, I left Christianity BECAUSE I read the Bible and found to many discrepancies in it and between it and the religion.

I wandered aroundnot believing in any religion for a while but observing the behavior of my people....I realized that we neededstructure and moral guidance. There had to be some sort of absolute standard. So Istarted studying and dabbling in other religions and belief systems.

When I read the Koran not only did I find no fault in it but found it to be a pretty complete and an easy guide for a moral life. Worshipping the Creator and Him alone only makes sense. So I accepted Islam.

I'm glad I was introduced to Islam through the Koran instead of by some school of thought or group, I may not have accepted.

But Allah knows best.

I don't know wether to call it a convertion or a seperation since I belong to no religion or religious group. I only subscribe to the truth and I have found that as long as I have a connection with Yahweh I don't need a connection to a group.

I left christianity for spiritual purposes. I was out there for a while also trying to findthe truth or something that resembled it. The church couldn't giveme the truth because they only was concerned with religion and tradition. So I went to place I should have went(Iasked Yahweh)andgot on the right path. After studying the different versions of the bible and our languange I realized that something was wrong and at that point in my life I really wanted to do what was right. I found out that the superficial interpretations of the bible given by the preacher on sunday didn't even scratch the surface of the revelation that was within the bible and you could tap into that if you studied properly.

My seperation caused a lot of tension in my family and with a lot of my friends but I stayed the course and I am a better person because of it. Yahweh will use me inthe future and until then I will continue to search for the truth in and out of various religions.

Shalom.

Jaziasha

Do you believe in a physical Paradise and Hell after death and Judgement?

Yes, I believe that the time spent on earth is like a test to prove yourself worthy enough to get into Heaven or be sent into the eternal darkness.

I also think that hell is a state of mind moreso than the physical burning of the flesh. You can be in hell on earth.
