As there aint any black positive role models and the black stereotype seems to be going lower and lower every year why do we accept this? and why do black peole nowdays have so little self worth and respectfor others around them?

Yet we are all precious in Gods eye's no matter what colour we are. Why have we become the self destructive people that we are today? Why is it that we are losing our self worth?

In a world were our role models are Gansta's telling the next generation to get rich or die tryin its sad to say thatwell over 50% will die tryin and end up another statistic. Isn't it time we woke up!

I made you in the color ofcoal
>> from which beautiful diamonds are formed...

I'm 99.9% coalwhich was going to be thrown in the fire.Jesus's blood is that 1% that makes me a diamond. He's my perfectrole model because everyone else down herehas faults and will always let you down.

That was a nice poem....

I never questioned God why I had to be born Black. Damn near everybody I grew up around both rich and poor, good and bad were Black so I didn't see it as so important until I got older and came into contact with more people from around the world.

But I have questioned being born at this particular point and time in the existance of our race. I may have liked to be born during the hights of the Egyptians or Moorish empires when Black men had more power and respect globally.....or maybe in the 60s when there was so much hope and change going on.

I've been truly blessed by God in so many ways personally so I can't complain, but when I look at the condition of Black people world wide it's sometimes depressing.

I know what the problem is, IT'S US!

It's the way we think that got us in this position in the first place, so lately my questions have been why do so many of us think the way we do?

It's easy for me to see how Black people can take control of our destiny and progress.

Most of it involves not blaming whites, Asians, and others for taking advantage of us but simply managing our own affairs properly and doing for self.

But globablly speaking, out of the thousands of Black men I've met and read about in my life I've only found a minority who think like me and have the insight to see what are problems really are as well as the solutions. Malcolm X was one, Marcus Garvey was the other..and there are a few more I know perssonally but the vast majority simply have no clue.

This is depressing because I know unless there is some sort of Divine assistance, we will continue to decline as a race and slip into destruction.

Am I my brother\'s keeper?
YES I AM
