I heard that muslims can't accpet interest on their bank savings because Islam say's that you can't recieve money that you haven't earned, is this true?

I'm not sure about not collecting interest on Bank accounts but I know we aren't allowed to loan money out with the purpose of collecting interest.


As far as Muslims not recieving money they haven't earned, this isn't necessarily a sin in Islam.

It may not be the best way to live, but receiving money you haven't earned is only a sin depending on how you got it.

If you stole it, or used deception to get it then yes....but just collecting welfare isn't a sin in itself.

We are permitted to ask for assistance if there is no other way for us to make a living.


Taking your word for it, there are probably so many Muslims on benefits because many of the Muslims of England are immigrants and like immigrants of other religions they use public/government assistance to support themselves until they're able to be independant.

There may be a lot of Muslims on government assistance, but if you'll notice Muslims are also disproportionately business owners compared to the rest of the population and are notoriouisly financially independant.

Muslims have their own banks ie(Habil) that act like community banks that like to encourage muslims businessesthis is why muslims prosper.

Blacks don't have their own banks for blacks only that encourage business and hand out loans regardless.

I heard that too. A muslim guy in one of my classes also sed that they are not allowed to borrow money, unless they are in need they can get money from the mosque. Thats why alot of muslims dont own they're own houses cos they would need a mortgage to buy one

Interest money is considered dirty money in Islam the same way pork meat is dirty meat in Islam in simple terms we muslims cannot use that money for personal benefit.

If it is presented to us the best option is put it in some charity box where it could be used for something that benefits hummanity in general. You see, If pork meat is presented to you best solution is throw it in the bin so dogs and other wild animals can benefit from it.

Is dole money acceptaable- if the rules of the country provide welfre fordisabled people to meet their expenses there is nothing logically wrong in accepting this money. Unfortunately many of us muslims included do not tell the fulltruth when we claim dole we tend to tell half truths or cut corners which is not allowed in islam and this makes our claiming the dole not right. We claim to be disabled or unable to work while deep down we know that we are able to work. Some of us have other incomes and yet claim dole this is against islam. Even if one is truely entitled for benefits a better course for muslim is to be patient and wait until something opens uprather than to beg.

It is true that we should accept interest.

But loan thing is not true. We cann take loans. Despite the ban on interest. I don't really know the all of the reasons. I will lock it up
