Are you superstitious? Do you believe that black cats are evil, or that a shattered mirror is 7 years' bad luck? Just wondering, cuz my mother's from the Deep South and can be quite superstitious at times. What are your superstitions, and why do you belive them?

If you are religious then you are probably superstitious.

The bible says Acts 17:22-23

22: Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars' hill, and said, Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious.
23: For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.

The word superstitious means- more religious that others--too superstitious.

I am from the south also and my family is very superstitious and very religious at the same time.
