I have made the claim before that much of the Bible is simply copied from our Kemetic ancestors, but it is often hard for people to understand until they see for themselves. Therefore, I have compiled a short list of examples from Proverbs and how it was copied mostly from the "Instructions of Amenemope (Amenhotep)", but also from other writings from other Pharaohs in the 18th Dynasty (and earlier) as well as Instructions associated with Ptah. There are some sections of Proverbs that come from other Kemetic sources, but that would take too much space to demonstrate.

A few things in particular to take note of:

1) The order of which the Biblical Proverbs makes no sense, and was obviously haphazardly copied. For instance, there are 30 chapters to Amenemope's instructions, and likewise the 30th chapter states "Mark for yourself these thirty chapters". However, the Bible copies this verse and places it in the middle of the chapter in Proverbs 22:20 when there were instructions that followed.

2) The last example I give with Proverbs 24:12 talks of "he who weighs the heart". This is borrowed from Kemetic theosophy where Tehuti/Thoth weighs the heart of those who die on the balance (scales) against a feather (from Maat).

3) If you read the paired verses, they mean exactly the same thing, but only worded slightly differently (as to be expected). We must remember that the Bible is a translation of some translation of a many line of translations that was an interpretation of a translation that was passed extensively by oral traditions. Therefore, the verbage in the Bible has been massaged greatly, so would not exactly match the Kemetic...let alone being translated from 2 totally different languages.
When perusing this short compilation of examples it may have been a coincidence for 2 or 3 of them, but this is actually a short list so all of these illustrated cannot be mere coincidence. Furthermore, I have not even demonstrated other parts of Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Psalm, Isaiah, identical precepts in the New Testament, the first 5 books of the Bible, amongst other things. Also, keep in mind that none of the Bible can be verified earlier than the 3rd century BCE, where these Kemetic writings predate the Bible by thousands of years.

Lastly before looking at these examples, it was not constructed to take shots at anyone's faith. I would like people to see some of the wisdom present with our ancestors before we were exposed to the Bible and Qur'an. And of course, you can verify the examples for yourself...

Didn't we go through this already?

THat is some kind of bootleg version of the Bible, it does NOT say all of that in the King James Version. All you people are doing is trying to grab anything thats just a little bit close to say "SEE THEY COPIED!" its not even the same quote. You have no proof Solomon copied anything.

Not to mention in Proverbs a lot of the things listed are based on different topics so you KNOW its not the same.

Excellent observations, Thoth. But you already know the answer to your own question. You know most Black people truly believe that white people have a monopoly on religion. Notice Weapon of Israel says you have the wrong version of the Bible. YOU have the wrong version? It couldn't be Massa, noooooooo!!

Peace,

I agree but in my opinion, the best thing that we should convey to our religious brothers and sisters is to not necessarily limit themselves to one book, when it comes to information that is philosophical or spiritual in nature. The book of proverbs is a great read just as much as there is food for thoughtin the holyqur'aan. One of the things I was taught by Dr. York was to "make no distinction between the wise, be they philosophical such as Khalil Gibran, Edgar Cayce, Plato, Tehutu or religious such as ibrahim/abram, mosheh/moses, yasu'a/jesus, and respect the nature of nature." One of my favorit proverb quotes comes from 6:24-26 and the first part of proverbs 23:7, which reads "as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he..."

Give care

Nice post Thoth,

There really should be only one sensible question, who was King Solomon?

When you look at what was said about him, prolific builder, wisdom etc....and no proof that he ever existed or any of his buildings remains.....not a brick!!!

Something isn't right, so for others out there the other question should be....who was Amenhotep?

The world's full of them..... and you know it!

Ah yes, the King James' Version...the version of the Bible authorized by King James, who clearly had his own agenda (divorce being one of them) and compiled in 1611 by holy, pure scribes whose room, board, and salaries were drawn from the vast riches of the transatlantic slave trade. The King James version wouldn't even be in circulation but for the molestation of Black children, the rape of our women, and the torture and murder of our brothers. How very holy.

LOL "it does not say all that in the KJV" LOL YOU DIDN'T SAY IT THE WAY MASSA SAID IT THOTH! SAY IT LIKE MASSA!! Christianity was beaten into Black people (it took 100 years in the US before we would even say Jesus' name and we were BETTER OFF BEFORE WE EVER HEARD OF HIM. Let's look at all the joys of having embraced Christianity. Well let's see.. lost our religions, our land, our names, our history, our mnids, our women, and our children. In my opinion, nothing but a slave or a fool, or a slave fool would accept a religion that tells you to turn your damn cheek when somebody slaps you. LOL "be a sheep, be like a lamb". Wonder why those nasty child molesters who wrote the KJV put that in? Maybe they meant turn the other BUTTCHEEK.

"slave, don't steal from your master"

"slave, if he takes your socks, give him your pants"

Not to mention that king james was a flaming homersexual. He wrote " jesus had james, and i have george"

dont get me wrong. the bible has value, but it isnt absolute.

1) The version used is the NIV, the most used besides the KJV, if not used more.

2) Only a fool would expect the paired verses to say the exact thing word for word when translated from 2 different languages and the fact the Bible's verbagehas been massaged and stroked countless times before it's present version. If you actually think about the meaning, it is obvious that they are identical.
Quote:
3) It is far too coincidental for all these similarities to lie only in one text comparison. If you were reading someone college term paper and the same consistencies with another text arised, the person who wrote it would be charged with plagiarism.
Quote:
4) Solomon never existed.
