Habakkuk (3:3)
God came from Teman,
the Holy One from Mount Paran.
Selah
His glory covered the heavens
According to the dictionary of the Bible: Teman, a son of Esau by Adah (Gen. 36:11, 15, 42) and in I Chron. 1:36, now if Habakkuk saw God come or coming from the sons of Esau (Eliphaz), then God must be a man and not a spook. If Habakkuk's (3:3) prophecy refers to some country, town, or city, if there be any truth at all in this prophecy, then we can say that this prophet saw God as a material being, belonging to the human family of the earth-and not to a spirit (ghost).
Teman

[*]A grandson of Esau, one of the "dukes of Edom" (Genesis 36:11,15,42).
WHAT?
I DON'T AWAKEN TO ANY "HALF BAKED" RESPONSES ATTEMPTING TO, PROVE TEMAN DOES NOT REFER TO A MANOR PLACE?

I knew I was forgetting something! All thesetexts that we have, none of them are infallible. The only One that is infallible is Yahweh and His everlastingtruth. I still don't think that Jacob wrestled with Yahweh, face-to-face, but I have presented what I have for everyone else to do their own critical thinking.I have learned about taking things for face-value a long time ago. I can't get anyone to see the view on the top of the mountain if they haven't made their way halfup by their owns means.
No Islamic or Muslim perspective? Sure about that? I am aware, and also aware of your posts. Whatever you say. Other than that, this thread has held it's duepurpose.

Perhaps, you can not see the utter foolishiness, of your position.
You are attempting touse one interpretation to, dispute whatis plainly stated, in anotherpart, ofthe same book!
This makes, NO sense, to me.
" I still don't think that Jacob wrestled with Yahweh, face-to-face..."
so, you disadree w/what the Bible, plainly, states?
"No Islamic or Muslim perspective? Sure about that?"
FYI Thevast majorityof "Muslims" believe God is a spirit, only.
