Q. Then and now--

When the masses were/are 'rigidly instructed' to adher to the doctrines/dogmas/principles held as the whole truth the absolute truth and nothing but the truth by:

Judaism
Christianity
Islam

religions or suffer eternal damnation is religious skepticism the correct response?
