Do people on here think that Aliens have any link to religion in some way?

What do people think of Aliens in general?

I definitely believe there are Aliens but not necessarily think they come from other planets. I think its possible that they may come from other dimensions, and that portals exist so they can come backwards and forwards.

I also believe that our Goverment knows all about Aliens, and have given them permission to use human beings as they feel like for experiments etc. I think they probably do have some kind of breeding programme going on. Lets face it homo sapiens are not doing too well at evolving by themselves in a positive way.

Maybe thats how we all began..one big breeding programme. Were we not the result of the Gods breeding with the "beasts in the field".

Its interesting how many people develop amazing telepathic and Healing powers after being in contact with aliens or their spacecraft.

I lived on Romney Marsh for a time and used to regularly visit Dungeness where the nuclear power station is. So many times we have witnessed flying craft hovering around the skies...as have so many of the locals who live there. They seemed very attracted to the power station for some reason.. So because of seen them on several occasions I have to believe that these spacecraft exist, so therefore so must aliens.

I also believe they;re responsible for the crop circles and there are people here who do know what the signs and symbols mean.

Yeah, I've got a DVD on that.Certain tribes from around the world recognise the crop circle signs and know what they mean.Love tohear more about that.

Aliens exist. Whether or not they have influenced religion, is the unknowable. It seems possibly, but unless aliens have mind-control technology then I would say it is unlikely.

So what do you think the artists were trying to say by putting UFOs in the back ground of religious paintings?

That the Church popes and ministry are really aliens? A la David Icke/Sitchin... they're lizards trying to pervertwo/man from spitiruality by enforcing religios stigmas?

We were creted by a master race who we percive as Gods but are really from another planet??

I am undecided about this.

If any intelligent life evolved on any other planets in this solar system I don't see how they could survive in our atmosphere without suits. So any aliens that could walk around au natural would have to come from another star system which brings up the interstellar travel problem.

This could be overcome without faster than light travel with a combination of 3 technologies. If they could extend their lifspans to 500 years, probably slowing down the aging process. Combined with some form of hibernation to reduc the need for consumables on the ship and eliminating boredom. Ships capable of 50% light speed.

It still leaves the question of why would the aliens give a damn.

If people are seeing UFOs now, and we see that people had been seeing them centuries ago, then their has to be some validity to the alien claim. I think there are other being besides us. I reada lond time ago that people thought that aliens help to build the pyramids. How true this is I don't know but it seems like it could be possible.

Probablity of life on other planets is high. If you're talking microbial and bacterial life that is. So many stars... Complex organisms however less so. Too many factors involved... intelligent complex organisms... now you're really stretching it. As for inteligent organisms that have managed to turn physics upside down and cross interstellar space you're moving into fantasy.

Sure it's possible but then that doesn't mean I should believe it. Superman MIGHT be possible but until I see the mofo flying in his cape I'll remain sceptical.

I have no idea in the logic that people think mightly powerful creatures that could do all these things (do people realise how big space is and how hard crossing it is) would HIDE?

Why would such ridicolously powerful beings collude with governments and stick butt probes in farmers from Arkansas? They would have no need to fear us, no need to hide if they had technology powerful to cross the damn gap between stars.
